extract data from PDF using AI and save data to Sharepoint

Good day,

I trained an AI model to extract data from a pdf when received form an email. 

So far I can email the extracted data. however, I would like to save this data to SharePoint but I not sure how to start.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Saving the extracted data by the AI model in SharePoint is easy:

1. Make sure you have created a SharePoint list. Create a list - Microsoft Support

2. Add to your flow the action Create item from the SharePoint connector

3. Map each of the values extracted by the AI model to the corresponding column in SharePoint. Make sure you select the item {field name} value.

Hello @JoeF-MSFT 

I am building a flow in Power Automate to implement the same tasks, extract data from PDF forms using a trained AI Builder model, then save the extracted data to a share point list. I followed the steps you outline, however, the newly created list doesn't have the extracted data

Used the action create item, passed the site address and list name, created a few columns in the new list to map the extracted information correspondingly, but the mapping is inaccurate...

Hi @JJ27 - thank you for sharing the screenshots. It looks you're putting everything under the same column? Can you put the values out from the Predict action into the different fields? (First Name, Last Name, Phone Number...)

thank you for the suggestion! I was able to resolve the problem, and the mapping was accurate after I put different values in different fields, correspondingly.

Hi @JoeF-MSFT ! I wanted to ask if there was a way to use the data extracted from the PDFs to automatically fill designated folders in normal SharePoint libraries/folders (not lists). Thanks in advance!

Hi there I have trained the AI model to extract text from PDFs and 1 table.  I created a flow to use the model to create items in SharePoint.  The table can contain multiple rows.  I am struggling to create unique records in the list that separates each row in the table and then appends the rest of the extracted data from the PDF. Since I have to run this for thousands of PDFs this is huge automation.
