Action refuses to run despite set to "on succeeded" of the previous one (which did).

Hi,

Please someone explains to me what is happening...

Previous action runs OK, but next one -Send email- refuses to run because prior one it's not "Succeeded" but Skipped.

Is it getting the Status value from the previous loop which was skipped?

Is it getting the Status value from other parts of the flow where there are actions with similar name which were skipped?

any clue?

Thanks!

Found the problem:

The email used for the shared email action has something which prevents the action to work. It throws this error which you can see on the output data or with Copilot.

"The error in your flow is caused by the 'Send_an_email_from_a_shared_mailbox_(V2)_EMORD_REPORT' operation. The error message indicates that the REST API is not supported for the mailbox you are using. To fix this error, you can try using a different mailbox that supports the REST API. Make sure to check the mailbox settings and permissions to ensure that the REST API is enabled."

Using another shared email address works just fine. I'll ask my IT about why that happens.

Thank you all!, couldn't find it if I didn't switch to classic and start collecting info 🙂

by the way, maybe someone should correct the error message because HTML output is ok, and Succeeded.

@peremoral Can you toggle off the New Designer and click on all your actions to expand them? Upload a screenshot of your flow in edit mode in the Classic Designer.

ow to Send a SINGLE EMAIL ✉️ with multiple SharePoint list items | Build THIS Power Automate Flow

Building a Power Automate flow that will send an email with multiple SharePoint items can be a bit complex. In this video tutorial I’ll cover how to build a flow that will send a single email to each user with tasks that have been assigned to them. The logic in this flow can be applied to many different scenarios.

First, I’ll show you how to use a Filter Query to return items from your SharePoint list that meet your criteria. Then I’ll show you how to return a list of unique email addresses so that each user receives a single email. Lastly I’ll show you how to compose an email that will contain an HTML table with a list of tasks for each user.

How to Handle Multi-Person SharePoint Item Notifications in Outlook and MS Teams with Power Automate

In this Microsoft Power Automate tutorial I’ll cover how to create a flow that is triggered by selecting an item. This automation will send an email to all assigned users for the selected task. I’ll also show you how to adjust your flow so that you can send a message in Teams. Then I’ll show you how to collect a list of unique users that have been assigned to multi-person tasks. Using this concept, we’ll edit the flow from the previous tutorial so that it works with a multi-person column.

IN THIS VIDEO:

How to trigger a flow from a selected file

How the multi-person column data outputs

How to use the Select action to get all assigned to users of a SharePoint item

Hi @peremoral

Yes, it is saying that although the previous worked, working can mean skipped.

I cannot say why it was skipped without seeing the Inputs / Outputs of values of the Create HTML, but from the Send Emails perspective, by default, it only marks Configure run after , as Succes and since the previous was marked as Skipped, it failed

I am assuming you wouldn't want the email to go out without the table anyway, so we need to figure out why the Create HTML was blank.

If I have helped you, I would really appreciate if you please Mark my answer as Resolved/Answered, and give it a thumbs up, so it can help others

Cheers
