Hi All,
I have created the following flow and it works fine if Progress field equals to "Refer to KYC" and Modified is less than 1 day (
Progress | Time after Modified Date |
*** Onshore Referral Complete | 1 day |
Onshore Referral | 1 Day |
Offshore Referral | 1 day |
Offshore Referral complete | 1 day |
Application form returned to BBCS | 2 day |
Day 2/3 checks (Contingent Liab completed by Onshore, rest TCS) | 5 days |
Follow up with Cust | 7 days |
Follow up with cust -Reminder 1 | 4 days |
Follow up with cust -Reminder 2 | 7 days |
Follow up with cust -Reminder 3 | 14 days |
FOR ACTION – Customer Response Received | 1 Day |
FOR ACTION – Docs Returned to Branch | 1 Day |
Immigration Check Required | 1 Day |
New Application Received (existing custs Onshore, new customer TCS) | 1 Day |
Peer Review Approved | 1 Day |
Peer Review 2 Approved | 1 Day |
Peer Review Rejected | 1 Day |
Pending with BFC | 1 Day |
Pending with sig ver | 5 Days |
Phonecall to customer required | 1 Day |
Refer to FATCA NI | 1 Day |
Refer to MLRO | 5 Days |
Refer to HRA | 5 Days |
Refer to RM | 7 Days |
Refer to RM – Reminder 1 | 2 Days |
Refer to RM – Reminder 2 | 2 Days |
Refer to RM – Reminder 3 | 14 Days |
Refer to Standard Legal | 5 Days |
Sent for Peer Review – Offshore | 1 Day |
Sent to CAO | 1 Day |
Refer to KYC | 3 Days |
My current flow looks like this. I need to add other criteria's as listed above in this flow
length(outputs('Get_Items')?['body/value'])
I'm trying to add multiple conditions using filter array as below but getting an error message .
The error message is "Filter Array(1) Fix invalid expression(s) for the input parameter(s) of operation 'Filter_Array'
Can anyone please let me know what's going wrong here?
Thanks
@And(equals(item()?['Progress'], 'Refer to KYC'),less(item()?['Modified'], adddays(utcNow(), -3))
Hi, @RajSingh ... Firstly, I think it would be a good idea to heed what @v-bofeng-msft is suggesting about putting as much filtering into the request as possible. It will give you less to do, and less that can go wrong with processing the results. 👍
I can see a couple of things that you may wish to change that could help.
I noted something that could break the flow, and that is where you are using the following in a condition:
length(body('filter_array'))
However, the action that it is referring to has a capital 'F' in the name, so it will not find that correctly.
You should correct that to the following if it is still named the same:
length(body('Filter_array'))
There are a couple of things that I would change here.
It's possible that it is missing a bracket at the end, there, for your addDays() function to work.
The 'And' should be 'and' as well as the 'adddays' should be 'addDays' here.
I cannot be sure, but the less() function may have an issue with the date. So, you may wish to use the ticks() function to convert the dates into integers for it to more easily work out which is greater.
This is how that expression might look mapped out:
@and(
equals(
item()?['Progress'],
'Refer to KYC'
),
less(
item()?['Modified'],
addDays(
utcNow(),
-3
)
)
)
This does not help if the field / column names are wrong, though.
Thanks @eliotcole -The filter array works fine now for Progress='Refer to KYC and Modified - older than 3 days) . Can you please let me know how can I add the following conditions in Filter array as well? There are around 30 progress statuses as below
Progress | Time after Modified Date |

Hi, @RajSingh, I think you can work out how to add those yourself, my friend. You already got most of the way there before, you just have to do the rest. Not meaning to sound rude, but I'm not going to do that work for you.
Just make a filter action for every filter that you want.
If you want ALL the filters in ONE filter, then merge them all together with and() or or() functions as is appropriate.
Also, again, I don't recommend that you do this, and that you do it using the Get items filter instead, as @v-bofeng-msft recommended previously.
Thanks @eliotcole - I can't use calculated field in Get Items, Progress field is calculated so that's why I need to use filter array . I tried to merge 2 progress statues and the time after modified but somehow it's only showing me 'Refer to KYC' cases . Please see below the filter query:
@or(and(
equals(
item()?['Progress'],
'Refer to KYC'
),
less(
item()?['Modified'],
addDays(
utcNow(),
-3
)
)
),
and(
equals(
item()?['Progress'],
' Follow up with Customer'
),
less(
item()?['Modified'],
addDays(
utcNow(),
-1
)
)
))
we need one email showing all the outstanding cases across 30 progress statues.
Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks
Why don't you try that and see what results you get from it?
If the expression is not good, it will tell you.
I find that a good way to health-check my expressions is to do what you're doing there ... indent them. But to also paste that into notepad++, which will show you more obviously the start and end of a bracketed function.
@eliotcole - I have tried the below query in Filter Array, the flow is saved down fine but when I test it then it keeps on checking the condition for too long :
@or(and(
equals(
item()?['Progress'],
'Refer to KYC'
),
less(
item()?['Modified'],
addDays(
utcNow(),
-3
)
)
),
and(
equals(
item()?['Progress'],
'Follow up with customer - Reminder 1'
),
less(
item()?['Modified'],
addDays(
utcNow(),
-1
)
)
))
