Attach files with specific names to a mail when a new folder is added to one drive

I have a folder in Onedrive for business. This folder(e.g.: "A", "B") contains subfolders (e.g.: "1", "2"...) with chronological numbers, and in subfolders are files with specific names (e.g.: "CIV", "CI"). 

I want to get the files from the subfolder when a new number/ new subfolder is created and attach to an email only the files that contain "CIV" and "CI".

I tried a lot of possibilities but maybe I don't know how to approach this problem.

You could use a filter array step after the first step and look at attachments that contain those values you have specified

Sorry for late response !

See the below flow design for your case.

In your case you need to trigger the flow only when a subfolder is created in onedrive and then need to attach the files that contains specific names to an email, if Yes follow the below design.

Note: Here i am using a folder TestFolder in one drive making the flow only trigger when a folder is created in the TestFolder.

See below 

Step1: Trigger the flow when the folder is created in one drive 

Since above trigger is meant for triggering when file is created in one drive, we will add condition in trigger to trigger the flow only when a folder is created in the specific one drive location.

Step 2: use list files in folder to list all files in a folder like below

Step 3: Initialize an array which will be used to store attachments details to be attached in email.

Step 4: use apply to each loop to loop through all files in the folder which is created

Below sub steps will be action which will be done in the loop

 Step 4.1: Use condition to check whether the files name contains CIV or CI 

Step 4.2: if the condition is Yes, then use get file content to get the file content of that specifc file using its ID and then add the file details in attachment array with specifc format like below

Now the attachment array contains file details and its content which is needed to be attached to email.

Outside the loop, use send email to send email with attachments like below

for that enable the highlighted option to add attachments

Now pass the attachment array here

One more question.

When  at Step 4.1: Use condition to check whether the files name contains CIV or CI, I put "and", I received an as it is false

Hi @ZaHM 

if you put and , what happens is filename should contain both CIV and CI as well which may be not possible. That is why you got the false as output. You should use Or in that case 🙂

And if I have multiple files and one of them is CIV and another is CI, and the others are CIR and CTD how can attach the files?
