Build a Flow Which Sends an Email to a Specified User When a Due Date is Approaching

Hi All-

I have a list which among other columns has a Due Date column and an Assigned To column.  The Assigned To column is a choice drop down menu where I typed in the names of each of my employees a options.  I would love to create a flow where an email is sent to whoever is indicated in the Assigned To column based on the Due Date column (7 days before the Due Date).  I assume I would have to assign their individual emails to each of the choices.

Can anyone provide some guidance?

Thanks so much

Hi @Vantmas

You can create a Scheduled cloud flow and trigger the Flow once a day.To check if the Due Date is equal to today plus 7 days, if it is equal, send an email.

I set up a flow you can take a try with the following screenshots to see if it helps.

This is my test list.

After flow runs, email will be sent to eligible users.

Thank you so much Lily!  Looks like it is working so far.  So for the Assigned To: field, I would like to use their names and not their email addresses.  For example the Assigned To: field would show Leslie, but it would send to her email (leslie@test.com).  Is there a way to continue to use their name as a choice in the Assigned To: field on my list, but to have it send to their email?  Thanks again

Hi @Vantmas

If the user's display name is unique, you can add Search user action to get the user's email, then send email with the email address.
