Combine / Merge two or more flows

Hi guys. I've been looking around for answers to my question.

The question I have is how to combine or merge two flows.

Here's the context

I have two flows, Workflow A and Workflow B

* Both workflows have been created and tested separately

* Workflow B starts after workflow A.

For reference: See the screenshots below.

Combine workflow A and BCombine workflow A and B

Desired outcome:

Final ResultFinal Result

I can copy individual snippets and paste to combine them. I would like to just attach the new flow to the end of the flow.

Some of these flows are already existing and i want to attach the next set of flows to it.

I can't do something like pass parameters to the second flow. Although the process is still the same, each department has their own separate Sharepoint list that the flow updates.

I hope you could help me. Thanks!

HI @Jaystechtips

Yes, you can, and it's quite easy. Instead of me describing all the steps, please refer to my article on how to achieve this.

Here is how you can call a child Power Automation with parameters.

Or you can use the Request trigger to send information from one Power Automation to another.

To receive information in a Power Automation just use the trigger bellow:

small-Screenshot_2019-08-22_at_11_46_25

Then define what you're going to receive and copy the URL:

small-Screenshot_2019-08-22_at_15_00_51

You can parse the information using a simple "Parse JSON" action:

small-Screenshot_2019-08-22_at_12_36_03

In the other Power Automation that will call this one just use the following action:

If you have any questions, let me know, and we'll build the Power Automation together.

If I have answered your question, please mark your post as Solved.
If you like my response, please give it a Thumbs Up.

Cheers

Thanks @manuelstgomes .

I think this would not work for me. The child flow shares the same approval structure for the 5 departments, it should update a unique Sharepoint list assigned to the department.

Anyway, what i did now is just manually create the whole flow from start to finish. Then gonna copy it to each department and just edit the Sharepoint lists it needs to update.

It sounds tedious. Haha. But if Microsoft could give us the option to insert a whole flow structure in, that would be great.

Thanks for your help though.
