Conditions giving trouble with variable types

I'm having a colossal amount of trouble getting a flow to work. I'm not using the premium version of automate & I want to email a certificate to anyone who scores more than 70% on a Microsoft Forms quiz with 15 questions. I'm calculating scores in Microsoft Excel using formulas that sum up the number of points granted for each response that has the same value of the right answer for each question. 

The scores are calculated in a column, and a separate "score value" column (which I'm using to provide the set variable in the flow) is used to present the value that is calculated (using the formula =value(X2)). 

I've set my condition using the expression:

float(outputs('Get_a_row')?['body/Quiz Score Value']) is greater than a value of 70.

I keep getting errors whether the variable is set as a Float, String, or Integer. I've also tried setting the Excel column values to numbers or to 'general'. Nothing seems to work. I have a test flow that I got to work using that condition, but its not working on the official non-test version.

@Griff42 In your case, a variable isn't required use a Compose action instead. Can you run a test with a Compose action and upload a screenshot of the output of the Compose action?
