Copy a file and set name based on spreadsheet data

Anyone have a suggestion to create a flow that makes a copy of a file in a Sharepoint folder and names it according to a spreadsheet/table. The files will be copied to the same folder.

The table will contain several rows and columns, so it will have to copy the file multiple times giving them separate names.

I do have the code for naming the file, I think;

Compose2:

last(split(triggerOutputs()?['body/{FilenameWithExtension}'],'.'))

Compose3:

concat(body('Filter_array')[0]?['ColumnA'],'_',body('Filter_array')[0]?['ColumnB'],'.',outputs('Compose_2'))

Can you share a screenshot of your spreadsheet? It's a bit hard to picture. Also, where is the original file stored? What is your flow trigger?

Here's a excerpt from my table:

The Excel is stored in Sharepoint, the files uploaded are also stored in Sharepoint.

The flow would start with I upload a file to the sharepoint folder - The filename is checked towards the "itemnumber" column in the sheet. Then it will create a file for each row with the different "customer" column data.

So if I for instance upload a file named: "13990845_blabla.pdf" the following function runs:

Compose3:

concat(body('Filter_array')[0]?['Customer'],'_',body('Filter_array')[0]?['Itemnumber'],'.',outputs('Compose_2'))

I would expect to have data like this:

129290_13990845.pdf

129554_13990845.pdf

129610_13990845.pdf

129737_13990845.pdf

129799_13990845.pdf

I did try with Apply to all, using a List row from a table, but it only creates one file (first one in the table) 5 times. Is there a way to make this incremental? Or am I missing another function?

Your issue is with the Apply to Each action. You are looping through the items returned from the List Rows Present in a Table action. You should be looping through the items returned from your Filter Array action. 

You need to loop through the Body of the Filter Array action not the Values of the List Rows Present in a Table action.

I tried to follow the tiktok, but it seems to do the same.

I added Filter array results to apply to each, also tried to add a compose function to get the wanted fields, but for no to no avail:

In the test results in Apply to each it goes through 5 items, but they all have the same values.

When I look at the output from Filter Array it have 5 different values. Also the compose in Apply to all have 5 different values.

I think I see the problem. In compose5 you are adding the name of the first customer (by saying filterarray[0]?[customer]) and similarly the item name of the first item of the filtered array only. Instead of using body('Filter_Array')[0]?['Customer'] use items('Apply_to_each_2')?['Customer']. This new formulation will take the customer of the row that the loop is on, so if the loop is on the 3rd customer it will take the name of the third customer. You should do the same think for the item name, so your compose 5 should be:

concat(items('Apply_to_each_2')?['Customer'],'_',items('Apply_to_each_2')?['ItemName'],'.',outputs('Compose_2')).
