DATE FROM EXCEL ONLINE TO POWER AUTOMATE HTML TABLE

Hello Experts, 

 

I am very much rookie to Power automate. 

I am in the middle of building an approval flow. 

I tried to create a HTML table in email  from the excel data. 

but the date available in the column comes as integer rather proper date format. 

i gone through many solutions here  but cant get it right. because of the table column contains multiple variables. 

kindly Help on this issue.

I appreciate your effort on help me out on this issue. 

i have add the expression on the source data(microsoft forms) while mapping it to the excel, it will save as text with the desired date format.  and it is working fine.  

my 2 weeks of struggle finaly comes to an end.

But cell value is dynamic, every time it changes based on the response through Forms.

 

secondly, where should we insert the compose output.

I suggest you store date values in text format instead of date format.

I import the excel table using list rows present in the table.

Dates are saved as numbers in Excel, which represent the number of days (days difference from '1899-12-30'). If you format the date value to text, then it will be displayed as a number, and you just need to re-enter the date.

 the source of the date is from the Forms and it will update the . not entering anything in excel.

@AdminofMk Just wondering, if you are getting people to fill in a Microsoft Form then why don't you just have a trigger on When a new response is submitted, then get the response details and create your HTML Table? This will give you the dates in the correct format.

  My Flow trigger is same as your said only. 

If i create HTML table directly from the Forms, then the table will be align horizontaly and will consume more space in email since the forms have more than 10 columns.

 

Moreover, before creating the table i need to add some dynamic value to the table so i needed to deal with excel.

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!    This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
