Delete rows in Excel with condition not working when using Check in / out steps

Hello!

I have a problem with a flow when using Check out & Check in actions.

I built a flow that lists rows in an Excel file, then deletes them based on a date condition. As you can see under "Condition", the expression result is true and it works.

In the 2nd flow, i added 2 extra steps: Check out and Check in for the excel file. This time the expression result inside "Condition" is is false and the rows do not get deleted. The Id number used is the number inside the Id column in the SharePoint folder. 
 

• I have tested separate flows for Check out and Check in and they work just fine. The file is checked out and checked in without problems.
• The inputs and outputs inside "List rows present in a table" are the same in both flows.

Any idea as to what am I doing wrong or could cause the problem?

Then run flow again and check out the outputs of the compose in run history.

It still shows "False" unfortunately. 
The output is "2024-05-14T00:00:00", which is the desired value.

Please check the outputs of the list rows present in a table control in run history.

Check to see if there is a date output that is less than or equal to 30 days before today.

There are 4 rows where the date is "2024-04-25T00:00:00", while the output of the "Compose" is "2024-05-15T00:00:00". These combined should trigger the condition, but it simply does not.

Please try to remove the time and use these two expressions in condition:

formatDateTime(items('Apply_to_each')?[ColumnName],'yyyy-MM-dd')
addDays(utcNow(),-30,'yyyy-MM-dd')

Now it seems to do something weird. The condition is true, but the changes are not reflected in the file. I ran the flow 2 times, and both times the condition was "true", meaning that the first flow's actions were not applied. It's been 15 mins since I ran the first flow. The "Last modified" column shows 10 mins ago (the end of the 2nd run).

Yes, none of them has been deleted. As seen in the screenshot that I sent earlier, the last 4 rows are still present, even though the condition is met. 

I see however that there is a difference in the "Output" of the "Delete a row" step for this flow and the first flow (the one without Check in / out steps, where the rows actually get deleted from the file)

I have no idea how to interpret these lines, but the "x-ms-request-id" has 5 arguments (delimited by ";") in the first flow and only 1 in the 2nd one.

Because you check out the file, this will cause the changes you make to the contents of the file to be invisible, please delete the line and then check out the file.

Sorry for the delay. I have tried the suggested solution and moved this step at the end, but it still did not delete the rows from the file. The condition is again "true", but the result is not reflected in the file. However, I think I will give up on using the Excel file and make a SharePoint list instead. Thank you for all the help!
