Flow Emails - Outlook Rules - Email Organizing

Hello there,

I have some flows that send emails as part of them

Is there a way I can apply the rules to flow emails or add somewhere in the flow to place the email after being sent in a certain folder I have already created on my outlook?

Regards

I'm talking about emails I send through flow, is there a way I can apply the rules on these emails? or customize something on flow to move the email to a certain folder after flow had sent it?

Hi @Towaiji,

if your sent email is in the Sent Items  folder of Outlook you can get it (Get emails (V3) ) and move to other folder (Move email (V2)).

@VictorIvanidze

So i added these in the same flow that I send emails from, can you show me the settings that I need?

In Get emails (v3)  you have to use "Search query" and before using Move email(v2) you have to save Message Id of the message you have retrieved.

This is not working still.

Can you just show me a configuration image of this please?

No I cannot, sorry. I gave you enough info to do it yourself.

Welcome to my web site.

I tried that and it did not work. I used the TO, then I used the search.. the last step the move email is not activated.. even tho i put message ID for ID but its not moving.. again this is for messages I send.. not receive.

Could you show your flow?

Hi @Towaiji,

Outlook Email rules couldn't be edit in Flow.

However, you could set the condition to process the Email, store it as xlms file, move it to another folder, reply it automatically, etc.

After reading your previous replies, seems like you want to move a sent Email into another folder.

You could refer to @ChristianAbata the last reply to do it. Since Flow couldn't get Message-ID after the Email sent, so we should use get emails action with Search Query to get the top one Email's Message-ID and move it.

Hi @v-litu-msft,

could you please explain what did you mean saying

"However, you could set the condition to process the Email, store it as xlms file, move it to another folder, reply it automatically, etc." ?

What condition are you talked about?

Thank you.

Welcome to my web site.

Hi @VictorIvanidze,

For example, the condition could be subject equal to the Email just sent, To field is equal to Email recipient:

Hi @v-litu-msft,

OK, thanks,  but where is the xlms file in your example?

Welcome to my web site.

Hi @VictorIvanidze,

Yes, there is the example, but apologies for my fault, it is .pst file, not .xlsm file:

Hi @v-litu-msft,

the topic starter wanted to move an email he just sent to the other folder of Outlook.

I cannot understand your example - the action "Create file"  will create a file in OneDrive. Why?

Welcome to my web site.

Hi @VictorIvanidze,

This is just an example of saving a message in another format, never mind. I casually mentioned this function. You can ignore this proposal and take a look at the previous reply on how to move Email to another folder under certain conditions.
