Flow - Incoming Mail / attachement - OCR check

Hi Team, 

I was wondering if there is way to scan all the incoming mails with an attachment (PDF).

If there is an PDF the OCR scanning should start, and the attachment should just be overwrite in the mail.

Is there an solution ?

Hi @robin5003414 

You can use AI Builder to do that. Specifically, you can use Text Recognition prebuilt model. Here are the steps:

1) When a new mail arrives with attachments

2) For each attachment, check whether it's a PDF or not (content-type equals application/pdf)

3) If yes, use AI Builder model action "Recognize text in an image or PDF document".

4) For each detected line in PDF document, append it to a string variable.

5) When all lines are appended, send an email with original content plus PDF content.

You have to use "append to string variable" and not "append to array variable".

I get this message right now: 

Eingaben der Workflowausführungsaktion "E-Mail_senden_(V2)" vom Typ "OpenApiConnection" sind ungültig. Die Variable "PDFContect" muss initialisiert werden, damit sie in der Aktion "E-Mail_senden_(V2)" verwendet werden kann.".

The variable "PDFContecnt" needs be initialised, to run the mail sending. 

Have you any idea ?

Could you share your workflow? You should initialize PDF content variable at the top of the workflow (call an action "Initialize variable").

No, AI Builder it's not free unfortunately, although you can try all features with a trial environment.

I did a test on my side and the workflow is running as expected, although instead of appending "lines" output, you could append "result" output.

Please, try to remove the send email action and add it again in the workflow (as it's the action showing the error).

Now I get following message:

It seems in the apply to each you're using contentbytes property instead of attachments. Please, have a look at the workflow I shared with you at the top of this thread.
