Flow Issue

I have the following Flow.  As shown, there will always be only (1) item that will meet the Get items - Filter Query.  Currently I have a "Send an Email" in the "Apply to each 5" (after various variables are appended and the current record is updated).

1.  Why can I not "Send an email" immediately after the SearchGenMgr?

2.  As shown at the bottom, the Flow does not reach Apply to each 5 (it is grayed out)

Where is the flaw with my flow/thinking?

Where does the array of items come from for the Apply to each 5 loop?  Also, if the Get items only returns one item you can work with just that item by adding a compose and using first() around the value of the get items to retrieve just the first record. From there on you can work with that record in the compose without needing an apply to each loop.

Hello @Pstork1 Thanks for the response.  I'm new enough to Power Automate/Flows that I don't know what actions to take after the Compose (and collection of the first item).  Every action I attempt continues to create an "Apply to each".  Can you provide more detail?

Here's an example screenshot.

1) I do a Get Items

2) I use a Compose to load the first record from the array returned by Get Items

3) I run the output of the Compose through a Parse JSON to make the individual values available in dynamic content

4) Or I can access the values by name from the Compose using JSON. (a bit more advanced)

Hello @Pstork1 Thanks for the assistance.  The Flow seems to be working great.  Just to clarify (for efficiency of the Flow), I have the (3) Compose Actions shown by the red bracket.  Is the best/only method to have each of these or can/should they be combined into one action?

There won't be an easy way to combine them, so keeping them separate is fine.  Compose is a very lightweight action so having 3 won't be a real drain on performance.
