Hi
Can anyone help.
I have a flow which creates a teams channel and posts a link to a list item in SharePoint.
The problem is, when I submit info on the form the channel name comes up fine, for anyone else he channel is hidden
Hi @LukeSykes,
Unfortunately, this specific action of the Teams connector does not have a setting for making this channel show up by default.
However, the Graph API does have this setting, the isFavoriteByDefault boolean property. As a workaround you could create the channel via the Create Channel method.
Below is an example of that approach.
Thank you for this, however it fails with this message
teamId needs to be a valid GUID.
Hi @LukeSykes,
In my example I used a variable which stored the GUID.
However, in your setup it probably is easier to use a Get a Team action and use Team ID in the Send an HTTP request action instead of the variable.
I swapped out one step of a flow I have with this but it's not working.
Previously i used Create a Channel but i'd like to have it not be hidden on creation.
This is the error. The Teams ID is taken from a previous action "Get a team".
URI path is not a valid Graph endpoint, path is neither absolute nor relative or resource/object is not supported for this connector. Resources: groups. Uri: https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/teams/477e7d65-c963-4289-8e80-38adb119f7e2/channels
Hi @davidcab,
Did you use the Send an HTTP request or the Send an HTTP request (V2) preview of the Office 365 Groups connecter?
Can you use the first one in your flow setup? That one should not have that resource restriction.
I tried the above but the version of send an HTTP request (preview) doesn't seem to exist with that icon as shown above. I tried others and it did not work either. I also have tried creating this same flow but it just keeps adding the channel as hidden which is not helpful for my company and then to have to move it. All I can find is send HTTP request (office 365 outlook) Send HTTP request (Office 365 users) Send http request (preview) Tribal, Send HTTP request v2 (which as you said doesn't work). Help! Where is this icon and how do I make this flow work?

Hi @ahirsch,
A lot has changed since this thread (a year ago).
- The Send an HTTP request (preview) (Operation ID: HttpRequest) has been deprecated
- The Send an HTTP request v2 (Operation ID: HttpRequestV2) has been introduced
With the introduction of this new action, limits have been applied to it. Not all resources/objects from the Graph API can be used in this action anymore. Only the groups resource is allowed. If you try to use another resources you will get an error like below
URI path is not a valid Graph endpoint, path is neither absolute nor relative or resource/object is not supported for this connector. Resources: groups. Uri: https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/teams
In this thread we are using the teams resource, that is not allowed by this specific action. I would suggest to use the HTTP action instead (it is part of a premium connector though).
