From sharepoint list to sharepoint list and back

Hello, I have two sharepoint lists:

1. Sharepoint list Parent
2. Sharepoint List Child

I would like to have that When i created i new item in Sharepoint list Parent, Power automate, create this item also in Sharepoint list Child (Done).

Then, i would like to have, a following behaviour:

When in the Sharepoint List Child, is changed a Field value, this value update also in Sharepoint Parent.

In the Specific:

This is My Sharepoint List Father:

Id	Date	Work Center	Status
1	13/12/2020	CUTTING MACHINE	Submitted to Maintenance Team

This is my sharepoint List Child, generated form Sharepoint List Parent:

Id	Date	Work Center	Status	Activity	Title
1	13/12/2020	CUTTING MACHINE	In Work	Share part ordered	1 (Id of Parent Sharepoint List)

I would like to Update The field Status (In this case value 'In work' compilated by maintenance team), in the Sharepoint list Parent.

This update, should be happened, when the value in field "Status" is changed by Maintenance Team.

How can i reback this value in Shapoint list Parent ?

Hi @gennarodp 

There are two ways you can do this: 

1. Create a column in the child list as parent list item id and then in the main flow from where you are creating the child list items, add the id of the parent list item in the new column. Create a new flow that triggers when the status of the child item is changed and use the get item action and then pass the item id of the parent for the parent list to get that item and update it. 

2. Create a new flow that triggers when the item is modified in the child flow and then use filter queries to get the data from the parent list to match with the data of the row from child list and then update the item in parent list (a bit more complicated than the first approach)

In the solutions proposed, the problem is the  trigger.

The moment of modify of the field ‘status’ is secondary at creation of items’ row in sharepoint.

Then, what is the sintax of query odata to identify id row to update ?

Hi @gennarodp 

In the child list you can create a new column to save the item ID of the parent list. And then in the flow, use the update item action and use this column value to get the id of the parent item and update it.
