In a sharepoint list I’ve got a list of improvement goals by program, I want to, in a new column list those goals 1-X by program
I want to be able to achieve something like this
Program A, Goal 1/3
Program A, Goal 2/3
Program A, Goal 3/3
Program B, Goal 1/2
Program B, Goal 2/2
Etc.
Currently I have used a get items to filter to each program.
I can get the “/X” part using a length function to count the number of rows in each array, however,
I’m now trying to work out how to get the position number of each row to do the ”X of” part and be able to assemble everything in a update item connector.
Is there either a function I can use in a compose to determine the row number in an array of an item?

As all the data was entered program by program, In the end I used compose functions to get ID of the first item in my filtered array, and then subtracted the first item ID from the individual item ID +1. Not elegant but is working.
I'll set up a flow for new items for when they are added to look up the last item and then add 1 to that or patch from powerapps doing a similar thing.
It's inefficient to nest a Get Items action inside an Apply to Each action. Instead, you need to have your Get Items action outside of the Apply to Each action and use a Filter Array action instead. Can you share a screenshot of your full flow—it would help to provide more context.

Did you know that the Condition action has a limit of 10 conditions? Although it might look like the Filter Array action can only accept one condition—this is not true. By using the advanced mode you can enter multiple conditions into a Filter Array action with an expression.

Not sure I really understand, but if its date based, you could sort by creating date to ensure they are all in order, then apply to each for the collection, storing the program and current count in that program as two separate variables, then before doing anything in the for each, check if the current program is different from the previous program, if yes, reset counter showing X/3 program it is.
So initialize 4 variables first (varCurProgram/varPrevProgram,varCurCount/varPrevCount), then in the loop setup conditions checking prev vs current

We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities. Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”) - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024 Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.
