Get value of a choice column than the ID

Hi,

I need to get value of a choice column than the ID. I have a choice column with department names,how do I get the names rather than the ID on my HTML column? Please advise.

There should be a field listed in the dynamic content called Department Value, that is the label of the choice item. You should be able to use that.

Check the run history

Here is an example of a single choice option set. My column is called ajb_type.

Above by default from the dynamic content you can get only the integer value ajb_type. To get the Choice Text you need to use the expression. See below.

I tried this out and I am receiving the data on my emails. But the records that do not have the field data, email isnt triggering. Not sure whats wrong.

The suggested answer is the way to get the choice text. That is nothing to do with the trigger. Also you mentioned records don't have the data. Did you checked the run history steps?

The records have data for that column. I am getting the output on the column only if there is one record. For departments that have multiple values, the field displays empty. Pls advise.

hi @abm, I can confirm that I am getting the output for the column in the flow, but not in the email though for the other departments the column displays data.

I can't see your mapping? Are you setting the choice text expression mapping here? Without seeing the flow its too difficult to answer this.

Hi @abm 

With filtered departments(one department) the flow is getting completed without timeout error; I tried to breakdown the workflow but the email isnt triggering to all the recipients from the custom user table. when I remove the filter it is failing in Create csv(Create action failed).
