How do I include several triggers that would initiate an approval request?

Help!

I am new to power automate and have been tasked with creating a log of spends that feeds from a Microsoft Form. The way it works is when the form is filled in if it is above the threshold it will send the request for approval, if below it automatically approves it. So far my flow works perfectly, the approval route works without a hitch but I have just been asked to add some extra triggers in, 3 to be exact. The way the flow would now work would still be based off an answer in the form and would be like this:

  • If there is a conflict of interest - approval
  • If there is a 2nd person involved - approval
  • If there is a contract - approval
  • If none of these applies and it is over 200 - approval
  • If none of these applies and under 200 - auto-approve

I am now totally stuck as I have no idea how to get this to work, I have been playing around with it by adding in a second switch, didn't work. I added a condition that nested each option, i.e. if a conflict then the yes section sends an approval request, no then add another condition that asked if there was a 2nd person, yes was to send for approval and no the next question, this didn't work and just skipped to the last option and ran that.

Can anyone help me out with this, how would I add in these 'if that then do this' triggers?

This is my current, perfectly operating, flow:

Sorry if I haven't made any sense at all, as I said I am new and struggling to explain what I need and what I have done to try and achieve this.

Hi @greevesk ,

Flow structure would be as follows, but since I don't have the questions and answers in a form, I'm not able to set detailed parameters in the two Condition controls. For your 5 check points, 1-3 should be in Condition and 4-5 should be checked in Condition 2.

Hi @greevesk ,

So you this seems to be a logic question. According to your description, you can see there are two kinds of situations at the first level: Is there any question being applied? So use a Condition for the first level, conditions will be A or B or C, so the true branch will go to the Approval. For the false branch, there will be kind of situations: over 200 or not, so use another Condition control to check this point.

Hope this helps.

Thank you so much, I am pretty certain that has done it, I am just testing all the options out to make sure but you have saved me from so much frustration. I had tried something similar but it didn't work as expected I also didn't have the condition switched from And to Or.

Thank you, thank you, thank you 😀
