Hi @sj1023

Just to clarify, 'PR' is the list in SharePoint or teams site. If yes, then what is the name of the column or field based on which review need to be completed? or share the column details of SharePoint list.

Thanks

Thanks

Hi Manish,

Thanks for your quick respond. 'PR' means azure pull request. Basically, I would like to automate to send a message to Microsoft Teams if a pull request has been created and hasn't been reviewed by reviewers in let says more than 3 days.

Thanks

Hi @sj1023

Hi @sj1023,

Who needs to receive that Teams message? The reviewer or somebody else in the related pull request (creator of the pull request, or maybe scrum master/project owner?)

For retrieving the due pull requests you could use a list pull requests method of the Azure DevOps REST API. You can combine that with utcNow and addDays functions.

Below is an example

I used the searchCriteria.status and searchCriteria.maxTime URI parameters to filter down the lists of pull requests.

@{variables('Project')}/_apis/git/repositories/@{variables('RepositoryId')}/pullrequests?searchCriteria.status=active&searchCriteria.maxTime=@{addDays(utcNow(), -3)}&api-version=7.1-preview.1

Hi @Expiscornovus

Sorry, I am very new to this Power Automate. I read through some of the videos how to get started.

In you example above, I don't see any trigger.

In our organization, we have many teams shared the same repository, therefore is there a way to get the list of pull request based on the team level?  When our team member has a pull request created, they would add our team as reviewers.

For Team messages - I would like to send it to my own Team Channel

Here what I did so far

Hi @sj1023,

I would suggest to use a recurrence trigger action with a daily schedule. When you want to check if the creator is part of a team a couple of more steps will be needed in the flow.

But it should be possible, you could use the Get Team Members With Extended Properties method for example for this:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/azure/devops/core/teams/get-team-members-with-extended-pr...

Below is an updated example

1. Below is a screenshot of the whole flow setup

reminderforoverdue_prs.png

2. I am using a Recurrence as a trigger action and several string variables to store the ids and the project name.

recurrence_daily.png

3. A Send an HTTP request to Azure DevOps action is used to retrieve the Team Members. It uses the URI below

/_apis/projects/@{variables('ProjectId')}/teams/@{variables('TeamId')}/members?api-version=7.1-preview.2

4. A Select action is used to turn that outputs of the Team Members HTTP request into a simple array of just email addresses, this way it is easier to match in a Filter Array action.

a. From field

outputs('Send_an_HTTP_request_to_Azure_DevOps_-_Team_Members')?['body']['value']

b. Map field (switched to text mode with the button on the right side)

item()['identity']['uniqueName']

getteammembers.png

5. The same HTTP request is used to retrieve the overdue PRs. Ignore the addMinutes expression, I changed that to make testing this flow a bit easier 😁

6. A Filter Array is used to check if the person who created the PR is part of the array created in step 4.

a. From field

outputs('Send_an_HTTP_request_to_Azure_DevOps')?['body']['value']

b. Where field (switched to advanced mode)

@contains(body('Select_-_Team_Members'), item()['createdBy']['uniqueName'])

filterforcreatedby.png

7. Apply to each used the body of the Filter Array (so if all goes well only PRs for that specific team)

8. For each of those PR items a message is posted with some generic info

PR @{items('Apply_to_each')['title']} with id @{items('Apply_to_each')['pullRequestId']} needs review

Hi @Expiscornovus

This is very helpful. I can see the pull request message get sent to my Team channel.

There's one more thing I would like to happen is that in the Team message, it's display the pull request id. Is there a way to display the pull request url (e.g.   let says pull request id = 12345,  and my url would be https://dev.azure.com/Orginazion/project/_git/core/pullrequest/12345)

I tried this, but it didn't work

PR - @{items('Apply_to_each')['title']} with Pull Request @{items('Apply_to_each')['pullRequestId']} <a href="https://dev.azure.com/Organization/project/_git/core/pullrequest/" + ['pullRequestId']></a> needs review.

Thanks

Hi @sj1023,

Try using a concat for this

PR @{items('Apply_to_each')['title']} with Pull Request @{concat('<a href="https://dev.azure.com/Organization/project/_git/core/pullrequest/', items('Apply_to_each')['pullRequestId'], '">', items('Apply_to_each')['pullRequestId'], '</a>')} needs review
