How to read actual content of notes attachment form Dynamics CRM

Hi Guys

So, I have already spent a bit of time on this one and need help.

Basically, I have an attachment (Word Doc) on a dynamics record. I need to get the actual text values of these document and insert it into an email. I know how to get the attachment and attach it to an email, but that's not what I need. I need to get the text value of the word doc. 

If I try to just insert the Document attribute of the record, I only get the encoded (base64) version of the contents. I have tried using base64ToString(items('apply_to_each')?['documentbody']) but that doesn't work also.

Here is what I have done so far.

Please follow the below steps:

1. You need to save the note attachment to one drive

Expression for content:

base64ToBinary(items('Apply_to_each')?['documentbody'])

2. The docx file is in fact a Zip file where there is an XML file where the actual Resides, so what we need to do next is to Unzip the folder and Get the content from the XML file and grab the content

To Unzip the file: Use Extract Archive to Folder, Path comes from previous step:

3. Filter the output from the Zip folder to get the XML file, So use Filter Array and Switch to advanced Mode and use below Expression:

@and(startsWith(item()['Name'], 'document'),endsWith(item()['Name'], 'xml'))

4. Get the file content from the First File returned from the Filter array which is the XML file

Expression:

first(body('Filter_array'))['Id']

5. Then Last step add the below compose operation to extract the content

xpath(xml(outputs('Get_file_content')?['body']), '//*[name()=''w:t'']/text()')

Thank you @Mira_Ghaly  for the detailed reply. Saving the document to OneDrive is really not option. I have opted to use the notes to hold the html code instead an attachment.

You could also use the OneDrive action to convert a given word document to a pdf, then use parts of this template to either extract exact data values from the document or just get the entire file contents as a text replica:
