How to select() against an array variable

Pretty simple task here.  I'm guessing there is some syntax problem here.  I never know what to do with that sort of thing.  Its always an elusive task of trial and error, or just luck to get it right.  Here is the example with error:

Is Actions an array variable? If yes, should it not contain objects in the following format?

How are you populating the variable? What do you want to retrieve by using Select?

Your photo shows: item()['WorkOrderOB']

Try: item()?['WorkOrderOB'] 

I added a ? into the statement

Or: item()?['Action/WorkOrderOB']

It is hard to tell because I'm unfamiliar with the source.

I'm using "append to array", and that seems to be working fine.  Thus, I would think that I wouldnt have any control of the syntax contend of that variable.  

This is what the array variable looks like when I drop it in a Compose action

It seems like you have an array with three items, each representing different structures:

1) "WorkOrderOB"
2) "Action"
3) An object containing "WorkOrderOD" and "Action"
You cannot write a single action that will satisfy each child because they all have a different schema.

To handle this situation and ensure that the Append to Array Variable action works correctly without adding empty nodes, you can consider adding a condition before the Append action. This condition can check if the current item in the array is a valid structure before appending it.

I'm not sure what you mean.  Unless you see the name of the array variable is almost the same as one of its items.  I renamed Actions to ResultsArray to eliminate that confusion.  Otherwise, I didnt pick out the result of the array variable syntax.  That was all done by the function itself.

I found the problem.  I have no idea how it got there, i explicitly recall putting '[]' in the initialize variable body.  It was changed.  I wonder if it had anything to do with turing on 'AI' mode.  Which, btw, is entirely difficult to follow. Anyway, the accept as solution works fine.
