Issue updating a Business Process Flow to next stage

I get this error when trying to update the Active Stage:

Validation error: primary participating entity is not present and is required for every Business Process entity record.

This is my Update Row config:

Hi - Thanks.  I was able to get further, but my Update a Row stage still fails.  This is the error message:

"Record for entity 'appbms_process' is not in the traversed path

appbms_processes is the table that the Business Process Flow table looks up to I have it set to the Process ID of the record that triggered this flow.

Some additional Info on this issue.  See below

the output from the Triggering record on our Processes Table (appbms_processid) matches the value on the BPF Table record(bpf_appbms_processid_value):

{
"appbms_processname": "Test it again",
"statecode": 0,
"_statecode_label": "Active",
"statuscode": 1,
"_statuscode_label": "Active",
"appbms_processid": "f1581f16-7167-4e62-92d3-2ed9273be227",

This is what we get back when listing the Record from the Business Process Flow table:

{
"body": {
"value": [
{
"@odata.type": "#Microsoft.Dynamics.CRM.default_pmpbusinessprocessflow",
"@odata.id": "https://orga46fce51.crm11.dynamics.com/api/data/v9.1/default_pmpbusinessprocessflows(5c448ddf-8782-e...)",
"@odata.etag": "W/\"4017291\"",
"@odata.editLink": "default_pmpbusinessprocessflows(5c448ddf-8782-ec11-8d21-002248431b10)",
"activestagestartedon@OData.Community.Display.V1.FormattedValue": "1/31/2022",
"activestagestartedon@odata.type": "#DateTimeOffset",
"activestagestartedon": "2022-01-31T11:21:07Z",
"_organizationid_value@OData.Community.Display.V1.FormattedValue": "orga46fce51",
"_organizationid_value@Microsoft.Dynamics.CRM.associatednavigationproperty": "organizationid",
"_organizationid_value@Microsoft.Dynamics.CRM.lookuplogicalname": "organization",
"_organizationid_value@odata.type": "#Guid",
"_organizationid_value": "75333678-c407-4f46-b472-a02e90c48259",
"_bpf_appbms_processid_value@OData.Community.Display.V1.FormattedValue": "Test it again",
"_bpf_appbms_processid_value@Microsoft.Dynamics.CRM.associatednavigationproperty": "bpf_appbms_processid",
"_bpf_appbms_processid_value@Microsoft.Dynamics.CRM.lookuplogicalname": "appbms_process",
"_bpf_appbms_processid_value@odata.type": "#Guid",
"_bpf_appbms_processid_value": "f1581f16-7167-4e62-92d3-2ed9273be227",

So I anticipated that this configuration should be correct for this lookup:

Hi @garyzw317 ,

Can you please share the output of the instance that you ran. Did you also follow the complete process right from step 1 to get the active stage of this process. Also the value of traversed path ?

Thanks

Hi,  Yes I followed the instruction from beginning to end.  For this test, the Triggering table is called Process and the column triggering the change is the Process Status.  The record starts with Process Status set to 'Process Started', and the change that triggers the process is to go from 'Started' to 'In Progress'.  These are the outputs I got from the URL recommended to find the StageID's for these two stages:

"@odata.etag": "W/\"3899021\"",
"stagename": "Process Started",
"processstageid": "255fb74d-45ab-a5b2-6c8d-5ce28bd7dd8e"

"@odata.etag": "W/\"3898419\"",
"stagename": "In Progress",
"processstageid": "9829544e-395f-4d71-8aee-1b9e9f59e09a"

So, after the trigger and setting up the variables, the switch is equal to the first stage:  255fb74d-45ab-a5b2-6c8d-5ce28bd7dd8e. It correctly routes me to the first stage path in the flow.  I then set the variables as follows:

vTraversePath -- gets the Process Started ID:  -- 255fb74d-45ab-a5b2-6c8d-5ce28bd7dd8e

vProcessDetails -- gets a concatenation of the first two stages -- this is the output from the variable step:

concat(variables(255fb74d-45ab-a5b2-6c8d-5ce28bd7dd8e, ‘,’,9829544e-395f-4d71-8aee-1b9e9f59e09a))

vProcessStageID is set to the 'In Progress' ID 9829544e-395f-4d71-8aee-1b9e9f59e09a

 The Update a Row fails with this message:

"error": {
    "code""0x80060441",
    "message""Record for entity 'appbms_process' is not in the traversed path 'concat(variables(255fb74d-45ab-a5b2-6c8d-5ce28bd7dd8e, ‘,’,9829544e-395f-4d71-8aee-1b9e9f59e09a))'. Please contact your system administrator.",
    "@Microsoft.PowerApps.CDS.ErrorDetails.0""appbms_process",
    "@Microsoft.PowerApps.CDS.ErrorDetails.1""concat(variables(255fb74d-45ab-a5b2-6c8d-5ce28bd7dd8e, ‘,’,9829544e-395f-4d71-8aee-1b9e9f59e09a))",
    "@Microsoft.PowerApps.CDS.InnerError.Message""Record for entity 'appbms_process' is not in the traversed path 'concat(variables(255fb74d-45ab-a5b2-6c8d-5ce28bd7dd8e, ‘,’,9829544e-395f-4d71-8aee-1b9e9f59e09a))'. Please contact your system administrator."
  }
This is how I set the Update a Row up:
