I have a behaviour that I can't quite explain.
I have a simple aproval flow that is supposed to move documents from a draft library to a target.
Moving the documents also works wonderfully. However, as soon as a document with the same name is to be moved to the target library, the document loses its version instead of increasing the version number by 1.
Does anyone here have an idea what this could be.
Versioning is activated on all libraries.
Many thanks in advance!

Hello @Anonymous ,
the 'Replace file' will replace the file, that means it'll delete the existing one and upload the new one instead. If you want to update existing file, you must use the action 'Update file'.
If there's already a file, you should do the following steps:
I'd use the configuration 'Fail this action' in 'Move file' to tell you if there's already file. That's the only situation when you need to run the update process; if the 'Move' was successful, it should end there.
Therefore, the first action leading to the update should be set to 'Configure run after' only if 'has failed' (3 dots on the action -> Configure run after). The whole updating part would then look as below:

Dear @tom_riha
thank you very much for your solution. That's what I call Out of the Box Thinking.
But can you tell me what you use as identifier in the Get File Content step?
I keep running into the same error with this step "Route did not match.....".
Many greetings and thanks in advance
Hello @Anonymous ,
it's the same 'Identifier' as in the 'Move file' action, 'Identifier' of the file you're trying to move.
Dear @tom_riha
I somehow managed to get the Get File Content Step to work.
It turned out that I had to use Get File Content Using Path here. See picture with the current state of the flow
Now I have the next problem that is Get files (properties only) the following error comes up that I can't explain.
It is a Doc Lib and not a list.
Nevertheless I get the error message 404 List not found.
The filtering also seems to work because the flow in the filter query found the right document.
If I manually assemble the link on the error report, I also get directly to the document.
Thank you in advance
Hello @Anonymous ,
Library Name is the name of the SharePoint library with the documents, not the path to the document. Select the 'Library Name' from the available choices and if you want to search the file only in a specific folder then select that folder in the 'Limit Entires to Folder' field.
Dear @tom_riha
thank you for your suggestion that has solved the knot here.
The following solution worked for me.
Step 5 Was not asked but I took it.
Important for me to understand that in Library Name (in Get Files property) ONLY the NAME of the library must be in and nothing else. No Paths to the Library.
The same rule applies also to the step 5 with File Identifier must also be the identifier (Bezeichner in german) purely. NOT the document name or a variable with the document names as string.
Kudos to you!
