Move a file from one document library to a folder in another Document Library

Hello Community,
Hope you are doing well.
I am trying to move all the details of the File and its data from One document Library to another.

From the below Document Library 

 To 

I have tried using the Move File Option but in that case I was able to get the all the details as shown below but when I open the Document I am losing all my data in it

I have used the below power automate flow 

Here is the expansion of the Flow 

the identifier in this is from the update file properties Action.

By doing this I was able to get the details but the data in the word template is not obtained.

Please help me with this and feel free to reach out to me for any clarification or more understanding

Dear P,

Is the action 'Get template file content' a standard action you selected or did you just amend the header title?

In my experience, 'Get file content' and 'Create file' (with that content) will get you an exact copy of the file with all the data included. As such if you use the 'Get file content' action you should be good.

I do not see any reason/neither do I have any experiece on why these actions would not result in a file exactly the same as the original. Since you seem to work with templates, you might want to double check if the original file really has all the data you seek in the output.

Hope the above makes sense. There is no reason I have seen in my flows the above should not work.

Thank you for your time.
I have just renamed the Get File Properties to "Get Template file Properties" for better understanding.
Also, As I have told you when I try to move the file from where it is created, I'm losing the data in the docx file.
Where as in the original place where it was created, I have the Data in the file intact.

Therefore, it was my question in the first place, why was the move action not brining in the Metadata of the docx file?.

Dear P,

Can you provide an screenshot of the data you are missing? Please include comparison of the original and copied result indicating what is missing.

With the current description I cannot figure out a situation of data missing in copied document versus the original.

Dear P,

Thank you, looking at the screenshots I am puzzled.

This would be a weird situation. I cannot imagine where a saved closed file (the original) would have its file contents copied and with that a new file created and than this new file would be any different.

• Are you sure the file is saved and closed before you make the file contents copy?
• Could you try and save the file in pdf format and then copy the file? Just thinking that maybe the template function has something to do with this.

If that does not work, I am out of ideas.
