My flow works!...then it doesn't?

Greetings!

 

I created a flow that needs to do the following, after a response is submitted:

 

  1. Get response details, where it gathers the form's response to it's only question: Enter Full Email
  2. Then the Flow has get my profile, where it looks for Mail
  3. Then the flow  gets a row , which point s to an excel file:
    • Where there is a table that contains  emails in the Key Column 
    • And then the Get Row is configured to search for on key value,   a dynamic value from the step 1: Enter Full Email
  4.  Then Sends an email with the row value...  I tested it and It works!!!  I received an email with the data inside the row.

But then, if another user but me tests it, it does fails saying "No row was found with id (the user email.com)", but I do see it there in the table, in fact is the same table that did work with my test before (my email is in the table)

Also, if I change the Key Value, to have dynamic content of Responder's Email it does fails, even with my account.  I would think this is the ideal setting:

Again, the excel file contains email address on the Key Colum User and it does finds mine when I do tess.  I know I'm close to have it done, …and I'm happy for my improvement, as this is my first flow ever.  Therefore any light shed will be appreciated!

Make sure that email is all case sensitive and no spaces between. Try to trim() before you compare.

Did you checked the run history? What its returning in each steps?

The run history hows all previous steps ok, but the get row, where it fails with No row was found with Id, then the form respondent email is shown.   That email is in fact taken from the previous flow steps and it does exist in the excel file the Get Row is pointing.

I was thinking about that after I finish some testing last night.  I did change all the emails to lower caps, then tested again and it works!!  So yes, the caps does affect the Get Row results.  I don't mind leaving it like that, but is there a way to go around that?  It may help others that's why I am asking, because as far as I am concern, this case is closed.

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!    This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities. Users must provide a solution which can be an “Accepted Solution” in the Forums in all of the communities and there are no limits to the number of “Accepted Solutions” that a member can provide for entries in this challenge, but each entry must be substantially unique and different.    Winner Selection and Prizes: At the end of each week, we will list the top ten (10) Community users which will consist of: 5 Community Members & 5 Super Users and they will advance to the final drawing. We will post each week in the News & Announcements the top 10 Solution providers.  At the end of the challenge, we will add all of the top 10 weekly names and enter them into a random drawing.  Then we will randomly select ten (10) winners (5 Community Members & 5 Super Users) from among all eligible entrants received across all weekly Entry Periods to receive the prize listed below.
