Mystery email response

Hello,

 

I have built a basic flow that does something to attachments when an email is received on a particular email address and its a working great. - However, every time I send an email to the address I get a response email. I am sure I enabled this at some point during testing but now I cannot for the life of me figure out how to turn it off!

 

The flow is very basic and there is nowhere I can see where it would send this response. I have looked all through the solution, default solution and any other solutions to see if there is a random flow somewhere doing it but there isn't (I don't have many flows so its easy to check).

How do i figure out what is triggering this email?!?!

you can go to your Office 365 Connections and check all Flows using this Office 365 Connection.

Thanks for the reply. I just checked and there are no surprise flows I haven't checked. 

Was the Flow part of a solution ? 

 

If no you should find the Flow in Cloud Flows or Shared with me section

If it was part of a solution and you removed it from a solution you have to go to solutions and open any of them and try to add an existing Cloud Flow into it, maybe you will find it there:

Flows which are or have been part of the solution, cannot be found in the My Flows section anymore

I only have two solutions (one chatbot and one basic pair of flows). I have searched in both as well as the default as well as "my flows".

Also, the look of the email seems odd - it looks like its asking for a response like its part of a satisfaction survey or something. Is there maybe some kind of option that turns this on in settings somewhere rather than it being from a action?

This looks like the action "Send email with options" to me:

Can you make sure that this action is not somewhere ?

I definitely do not use that action. In fact the solution doesn't have any send email actions.

 

The email response only happens when I send to a particular address. That address was specifically made for one solution. My other chatbot solution is the only one that uses send email actions so I cant imagine the email address ever being used in there at all. Having said that I have checked it all the same and it only uses "send email from shared mailbox"

I've just deleted every connection from that account but its still happening!

Ok, what else you can try is to check who else has access to the mailbox of your particular address and check if the your co-worker have a flow implemented.

 

Last option would be to check with an admin this and list all flows, but this could be a massive work depending on the amount of flows you are using. 

 

You can also try to remove the Office 365 Outlook connection and try write again to the mail and see if the flow is still shooting the response. If not, your connection was used within this flow. If it is still working, means that someone else have a flow created.

I have already removed every outlook connection for this account in every environment. There is only 1 worker and they wouldn't have used my connector - what's more, looking at the email I remember this is something I turned on in the past.

Then I am running out of ideas sorry, what came also in my mind is that you maybe created in the past a logic app with that kind of functionality.

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!    This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
