Hi

THere is no trigger for Plnner covering the scenario "When a Planner task is overdue".

So, your suggestion (i.e. use Delay Action Block) seems to be the most reasonable approach.

Now, once the delay is over, I would add the action block 'Get a Task', and take into account these possible scenarios:

-The task was deleted (an error will be received)

-The task already exists, marked as Completed

-The task already exists, uncompleted, but Due Date was increased

-The task already exists, uncompleted, and Due Date keeps the same as the one you assigned

'Get a task' will provide several parameters as outputs, including Task related Dates, here you are an example. Plase also note when a task is marked as completed, "completedDateTime" will be no empty.

Hope this helps

Hi @OskarCh ,

Could you explain the specific context of time out?

Does the assigned task need to be completed within seven days?

Please provide more details so that we can understand your needs and provide you with the appropriate method.

Thank you!

I will try this out

Hi @v-bacao-msft,

The context with the time is that the task should be finished in 7 days.

When the task is not finished in 7 days i want do remind the others that this task was not finished and therefore set higher priority in finally finishing the task.

For example: the first task has the Tittle AAA

when the first task is timed out, the second task ist created with the title due AAA

Regards,

Oskar

@OskarCh

Did you already tried to add just after your current Delay action block, Planner 'Get a Task'? If this task is not completed and its DueDate is still today, then create the related Task.

THere is also another approach other than using Delay, that is implementing a second flow whose trigger would be REcurrence (every night), the second PA flow can 'Get tasks' filter them in order to get the ones not completed whose DueDate is today, and create the related Task for each of them.

Hope this helps
