Output not showing all the data from 'Get Table [Excel]', create array ('Select') or string

I am building a flow that takes data from two Excel tables (Class List and Class Code) and, through several steps, creates a CSV. I created another post (for asking a different question) which has some more details.

The Flow works, but not all the results are produces (14 out of 210). I have been trying to find the limitation, but I am out of ideas. My Flow has:

  • Get [Excel] Table
  • Select - to create arrays
  • Append to string variables
  • JSON
  • CSV

Since I don't know if any would be the cause, I am going to show as much as I can.

First, the Excel table is filtered and top count is 5000. There are only 586 rows after the filter. While I do not know much, I am supposing that the Append to string variables, JSON or CSV are not the culprits because before I added the filter and top count, I wasn't getting any correct output.

(I have an Apply to each that produces static text without dynamic content that was generated for all 210 items. That is, the Flow was working, but the dynamic content wasn't being found/loaded. Once I added the filter and top count, items found in rows below 290 were receiving the dynamic content, and the rest remained as static. The Flow is working, but the information is not be loaded/used in the apply to each.)

I have two arrays. The first draws from a previous Get Table (with 5000 top count) - it only needs the 210 and results indicate all are found. The second draws from the Get Table shown.

The outputs of Get Table and Array 2 above only show 256 results. I am uncertain if this is the true total or the output only displays 256.

After, I have an Apply to each that checks each of the 210 items from Array 1 (1 item per object) against a column in Array 2. I then parse the result (only 1 result per Array 1 check) and convert this to an object (not an array - using first). The then take each item in the object and pass it to a variable. Finally, I Append to a string variable to keep the results of that Apply to each.

I do not have any knowledge of whether any of these would be the cause for the lack of results.

After this, I just convert the string to a JSON and convert it to a CSV and save it.

If anyone has any idea of issues or limitations that might be present, please let me know. Also, suggested fixes would be great. Thank you.

Hello @J_Taylor ,

in regards of the "List rows present in a table" action, PA by default is giving back only 256 rows. If you want to increase the rows to be retrieved, please open the settings, enable the pagination and set the rows limit number you want to grab:

Please let me know if the issue is fixed.

Thank you, @MarconettiMarco. I thought the solution was simple - I just didn't know what/where it would be. It is a little weird that there are two settings to increase the count (top count and pagination) - but I don't need to understand it all. I am very grateful it was a simple solution.

Hi,
I have a very similar case, i have enabled the pagination and the increased the count, but still no data available in excel.
In my case, the column names are added from the select array and add rows into table action also provides the correct output.
My flow filters data from an excel table initially and now I'm trying to add those filtered values into another excel

Please assist!
Thanks!

@Anonymous, I haven't really used Excel actions, so I don't know.

Do you get data without the filter? Normally makes in the filter cause issues for me.
