I'm currently building an app which supports my team dealing with new work requests. I have created the app and used a list to store the data that comes in from form.
The app will highlight any new requests and we will action them giving two sets of times for our tooling team and engineering team, as part of this process they will set a date when the work will be completed and will then appear on a Gantt chart based on planner.
I want to create an automation flow which will once we have reviewed the request it will generate and approval to the requestor approving our tooling and engineering time. once they approve it will create the task in planner but unfortunately i am unable to figure out how to add the dates from the list into the planner.
I have built the below basic automation flow, does anyone know how i can change this to make it so the dates will pull through based off the sharepoint list information that is saved?
I have attached photos of my flow and create tasks. There are two as one task will be for the tooling engineer and the other for the other engineer completing the work.

I have this happen sometimes, too. Not sure why. If you start typing the name of the field in the dynamic content, sometimes it will then appear. One other thing I have done when this happens is to put a compose action before the action where you are having trouble getting the field and then put the field in the Compose action. You can then put the action in code view and copy the expression without the @ and quote symbols and put it in the expression builder to set the value that way.
One question, your Estimated Engineering Start Date field is a date/time field, correct? If not, that is probably why it is not listed since the field you want to populate is a date/time field.
I am not sure what you are doing in your flow since you only show one action. If your trigger for your flow is when a new SharePoint item is created, and the dates that you want to use to populate the Start Date Time and Due Date Time, are date/time fields in your SharePoint list. just choose the corresponding field from the dynamic content. If you are asking to add additional date/time fields to Planner, that cannot be done.

The issue is that within the dynamic content the options of "Estimated Engineering Start Date" which i am looking to enter in then start date time option does not appear.

We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities. Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”) - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024 Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.
