Response to SharePoint Create Item error

Greetings,

This is my first Power Automate workflow. I tried to flow the steps in a Power Automate video, but don't get the Survey Form questions returned??

I created a List in SharePoint with the items linked to the lookups under More.

The form has about 6 text areas and a check-box for options.

Including:

• Section Name
• Team Name
• Required tick-box

The workflow reads the URL and returns the following:

Response ID (triggerOutputs()?['body/resourceData/responseId']

ResourceData

I only have the following columns in Power Automate:

Team ID, not Team Name (String)

Section Name Id, not Section Name (String)

Required Id, not Required (String)

Using the Team Id, etc will result in an error as the fields are String, not integer!!

Hi @Anonymous ,

What are you trying to do?  Are you trying to get the lookup ids? if yes then you will have the lookup ids in flow and you can store them in an integer variable.

Hi Ramiz,

I only have one integer column the ID for each user..

The Section and all the others are String and one Check-box.

I cannot find the Column names in the dropdown list in Create item??

In create item we do have all the lookup columns as well. See the attach image. I have some custom columns and lookups from different list as well and while creating an item I can update those as well.

I am not sure whether this is your problem or not but what I understood is you want to update lookup fields value as well right?

Hi,

I am trying to write a single Survey Form output (6 String fields), to SharePoint when there is a Response from the survey.

So in my Create Item I am trying to create:

ID for each response

Team (String) not integer

Section Name (String), not integer

Required (Checkbox), not integer

Deliverables  (Checkbox), not integer

Instead of Section Name, there is Section Name ID an integer NOT String.

Instead of Teams, there is Team ID an integer NOT String.

If Section Name ,Teams are your lookup column then when you are creating a lookup column you can select what to show in that column. See attach image.

If you choose a text field in the lookup then in your Create item Section Name ID it will show you text not ids. See attach image.
And you can add custom values as well as long as that value is available in the lookup list.

My Create Item form doesn't match yours??

My Survey Form:

I have a New Response action, when the form is submitted.

When form is submitted.

When creating the List, I selected the Title in Lookup.

My Create Item doesn't have the Names, etc.

I created a new Create Item and the form had the Questions, which were not there before??
