Search File name in sharepoint and make file in this sharepoint folder

Hi please help me to build a flow for a work what we do with hand.

I have a onedrive folder

Name folder ; invoices

in this folder i have more than 800 invoices

All the files begins with 8 digits of numbers like:

02008050 - invoiceasdasd.pdf

02005050 - invoiceadasdasdasd.pdf

etc..

i need to find the correct sharepoint folder by the first 8 numbers in sharepoint like

02008050 - organisation name

02005050 - organization name

etc...

the folders begins also with 8 digits of numbers and than the organization name

and i copy the file with the same 8 digits name to the right folder in sharepoint

and this will i do more than 800 times for every new invoice.

is there a faster way

now is everything by hand / manual.

Hi @Cdeniz ,

For Condition, only one of "yes" or "no" will be executed. It is not a parallel action.

In addition, apply to each is an action that is performed sequentially: folder 1 goes to apply to each, and after it completes the steps in apply to each, folder 2 can enter apply to each.

I hope I have made it clear enough, and if there are other things that are not clear, you can reply to me. If your needs are addressed, I hope you will accept my answer as a solution.😀

Thanks for reading!

Hi @Cdeniz ,

Please try this:

1represents: invoices folder.

2 represents: organization folder.

1)

vmengmlimsft_1-1697093511134.png

The expression:

first(split(items('Apply_to_each_2')?['Name'],' '))

2)

vmengmlimsft_2-1697093630735.png

The expression:

first(split(items('Apply_to_each')?['Name'],' '))

3)

Hi @Cdeniz ,

It depends on where your files are placed, and if your files are available in OneDrive, it's best to use OneDrive.

if its no i wanna set the input file to another folder with the name`` No Folder``  in sharepoint.

but what he does is he makes a new folder with the 8 numbers of digits and set it in this folder.

whay can i do to get this action right ?

Hi @Cdeniz ,

Yes, if you want to create an empty folder when the condition is not met.

@v-mengmli-msft

the no condition is not working.

When there is no folder with 8 digits than he makes a new folder with the 8 digits that is good.

but when the condition is yes he makes  the file in that folder but also he makes a new folder with the 8 digits what is not good .

i dont understand why he makes a new folder when already yes condition is done.

Hi @Cdeniz ,

Could you show me the current flow and settings?

If you just added "Create new folder" below "No" condition on the original basis, this should be no problem, which means that we need some time to gradually eliminate each step in the flow.

@v-mengmli-msft

The Yes condition is working good,

If the condition is no what is about 5 times if the list folder get 5 folder information,

than he makes for every no condition the file he started with in the no folder in sharepoint what is not a big problem.

But if there is a yes condition in the 5 times he checks he set the file in the folder where he find it but also he makes the no condition because the other 4 is no condition.

so if there is a folder like

12345678 in sharepoint he creates the file in that folder

also het makes a newe file in no folder because he checks for every list folder action.

i hope i am clear about the problem.

The flow is now like this picture
