Send reminder after file submission if more files are required

My company requires a total of five files be submitted leading up to and shortly following events that we set up for them. We require users to submit a total of three files prior to the event and two after the event takes place. The final document should come no later than 30 days after the event, while the first three can be submitted at any time before the event. We can also have multiple event setup times running simultaneously, so this process will be completed at a different pace for multiple users at the same time.

The trigger will be "file submitted to x folder" (document 1).

I'm looking for advice on periodically reminding the user if they haven't submitted the other four files. I am very new to power automate (I have not yet created a flow) so I'm looking for any and all tips. My request is similar to this post from a few months ago but I was unable to duplicate this process given my experience with Power Automate. (Some setup steps were implied or skipped and not expanded upon.)

Hi @kustemit ,

You could create a flow to check the number of files in the folder when a file is created in the folder.

And if the number is less than to 5, send the email the person.

This is not a working solution because multiple users (for multiple events) will be submitting to the same folder.

@kustemit if you've got multiple people submitting files to the same folder, how are you differentiating them? Is there a code in the filename perhaps with a project or unique event code? Or are you just expecting the flow to be based on who has modified the file, counting up how many files that person has added and then send them an email if the number is less than 5?

This is what I had in mind, and would be ideal, though it would be problematic if one person was facilitating multiple events. They are currently submitting files via Microsoft Forms. Is there a better Power Automate integration that we could be using for this?
