SharePoint File Rename Modification Triggering a Flow - Is there a Way to Know the Previous Filename?

With Microsoft Flow, there is a trigger triggering on the creation or modification of files on SharePoint. Now one occasion of modification is when a user renames a file, when the trigger triggers just as required. However, we need to get hold of the previous filename for some clean-up action, i.e. the name of the file before it has been renamed; the action, if you want, which triggered the flow. Do you see any way of achieving this? This really is an essential part of our workflow. Thank you very much in advance for any assistance.

Mmm...

Perhaps activating 'Version history' on your Document Library can provide you access to the old filename... I am afraid I have never tested it to get previous FileNames.

If you wanna try, you can use 'SEnd an HTTP request to Sharepoint' to read metadata from previous versions.

First of all, thank you very much.

I do not think, sending an http-request is permitted on our SharePoint.

Or let's say, I do not think I have the means to send the required authentication tokens.

On an initial attempt, I am receiving a 401 Unauthorized Access response.

Okay,, looks like I was mistaken.

I got it working to some extent using thi URI: _api/web/lists/getbytitle('Documents')

I now need to know what http request to send to get to the individual item which has triggered the flow.

Haven't tested it, sorry, but it relays on the same concept: to activate version history on your Document Library | Sharepoint list

Okay, looks like I got to the file's metadata using this URI: https://{site_url}/_api/web/lists/GetByTitle('Test')/items({item_id})

However, browsing the content, I could not trace any hint of the previous filename.

Looks like your second approach lets me trigger a flow once the filename has changed.

But how does that let me get to the previous filename.

Sorry but I have no idea.

PS: The first approach looks promising, though. But so far no luck either.

Currently testing the second approach but unfortunately it does not report changes on FileName (or at least I haven't found them). THe curious thing is, it can report changes on the ID, which is also a standard (not custom) column on a Document Library

Let's keep investigating tomorrow the first approach (I am afraid it's too late for me)

Sending an http-Request and versioning might lead me to our desired solution. However, I just realized that there is something faulty going on with our versioning. As such, I need to get rid of this issue, before I can continue with this case over here. Thank you very much, so far.

Seeing no answer so far but I would be interested in a solution as well. I need to fire a logic app when a file is renamed and get the old version filename so that i can clean up some synchronizations.
