Simple "when modified" flow crashing

Hello,

I have created a really simple flow which worked for a long time and then suddenly crashed.

1. The idea is that once we finish some project, if there is a parcel to send back and if i consider it as worth to publish in our marketing channels i just mark those 2 fields:

LitHouse_0-1649701581974.png

2. After this, there should appear a task in another planner.
3. What actually happens is when i mark anything the flow launches itself for hundred of times:

LitHouse_1-1649701716849.png
4. The flow looks like this:

LitHouse_2-1649701777690.png

5. And as i said, it worked for a long time without any trouble. I can not understand what goes wrong in such a simple one.

6. I think it must be something with the inputs, as the flow applies even to list items that i did not touch. For example, i modify item ID.104 and it applies for item ID.137...

7. I am still new in power automate and this might be a stupid mistake but as I say, it worked for long time and i really can not find the reason behind crash as this flow is so simple, i have no idea what could go wrong.

Hope someone can help me and its a really easy one 🙂
Thanks

ehh, You were right @ScottShearer. There was one hidden "calculated data" column that was calculating itself once I changed anything in the list. So the flow was launching another flow and so on and on.

In order to avoid it I had to use the "Get changes to an item or file (properties only)" action. (https://powerautomate.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/run-a-flow-when-a-sharepoint-column-is-modified/)

After this another problem occurred, my "Adddays" function which was supposed to add deadline to the task created by the flow stopped to work as the triggerbody changed to "null" variable (or something like this).
So, I have used the "compose" action and then rewrote Addays to "addDays(outputs('Compose'), +4,'MM-dd-yyyy')" action.

Now, my flow runs only when I change item from the exact, chosen column and it is adding then a task with a person assigned, a start date and a finish date.

Perhaps this could help anyone, really simple flow but very functional:

@LitHouse

Are you updating the SharePoint list in your Flow?

If I have answered your question, please mark your post as Solved.
If you like my response, please give it a Thumbs Up.

Scott

yes, as I tried to make the same flow from scratch with different planners, I updated SharePoint list.

@LitHouse

My question is if you are updating the list from within your Flow - that might explain why the Flow is executing 100 times.  You are using When an item is updated trigger.

Nah, the flow that You see on the screen is it.
1. When an item is created or modified
2. Condition If "Parcel" = true
3. Create a task in some planner

Totally 0 impact on the SharePoint list. I think there is something wrong with the inputs that it takes into the flow, as it says "

{"headers":{"Transfer-Encoding":"chunked","Retry-After":"21600",

"
This "chunked" is a signal for me that something is wrong over there, but as I say, I am newbie in power automate.

@LitHouse

Got it.

This looks like a simple Flow - have your tried recreating it? I have noticed things just get funky sometimes.....

Yes, recreated it from scratch many times with different planners. Right now i recreated it using another list and works without any issue:

This means this is an issue with the list. I do not know what exactly, but this list is really huge one as it is the cornerstone of our company.
Is it possible that the flow is getting crashed because the list is contains too much data?

Thanks
