I'm writing a Flow that goes through a SharePoint library and sends notifications every week to a person listed as a file owner if a date has been passed.
John has 3 files
Mary has 2 files
George has 10 files
I want to send no more than 2 notifications to anyone. Assuming I am using an Apply_to_each to examine the file properties, the Flow will mark a Notice_sent column as Yes when it sends a notification.
Next week, the Flow will again look for all Reviewdue dates to see which have passed and then look for all Notice_sent = No. John should get 1 notification, Mary 0, and George 2. George will get 2 a week for three more weeks until there are no more notifications to be sent.
How do I track how many notifications each person has received so that John, Mary, and George never receive more than 2 notifications?

@annetoal sorry for the late response, you can implement logic as described below:
1. Add Initialize Variable action at top of your flow and give variable name as UserArray
2. I understand that you are getting items from SharePoint library using Get Items action, and using apply to each action under which you have send email action, if thats the case, then inside apply to each action add Filter Array action
Here in from parameter select the UserArray variable that we have defined in step1
on left side of value provide below expression from dynamic content
item()['email']
Select equals to from dropdown
On right side of value select the user's email from the Get Items dynamic content
Now add condition action and configure it as follows:
The condition will be using below expression on left side value and on right side provide value 2 and for comparison select less than
length(body('Filter_array_2'))
In the Yes branch add "Append to array variable" action and configure it as follows:
in the value provide in below format, replace User/Email with your column which contains email value
{"email":"@{items('Apply_to_each_5')?['User/Email']}"}
What this logic will do is, it will create array of emails, if one specific email is added in array for two times, it wont be added for third time. So in the Yes branch of condition add your send email action, so that email will be only send to specific email address for maximum two times.

We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities. Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”) - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024 Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.
