Update SharePoint list

I have a list that currently looks at a user and pulls all the direct reports that have the title "VP". The only way I have currently figured out how to automate the updating of this list is the build the flow so that the items get deleted early in the flow and then later in the flow they get created again in the SharePoint list. This is causing issues with my PowerApp by deleting items selected from the list in question in the past. 

Attached is a picture of the current flow and I'd like to see if there is a way to only update the list (have flow check to see if an item exists, if yes, create a new item, and maybe remove an item).

Could you share more details on your current flow?

From the image you provided, it seems that you want to check if the returned Job Title contains VP, if yes, create the item, if no, do nothing.

From your description, you want to check if an item exists, could you share more details on this part? what’s the trigger of the flow?

I will help figure out a flow with more details on your scenario.

The flow currently is triggered to run at 3 a.m. every day. My current flow does the following:

Gets items from the "VP list", deletes all items from "VP list", looks up all the direct reports with the title of VP, and creates the items. 

Without the part that deletes the items, the flow duplicates the list and after a few days, I have multiple of each VP.
