Urgent Help! Export Gallery Data to Excel file Flow Format issue!

Dear Community,

its been a week i am trying to resolve this issue and without any luck. I have a power automate flow, which i am using to export gallery data into CSV file it works fine. file is being downloaded. the only problem is there are multiple columns eg; col1, col2, col3 the issue is when the file is being downloaded instead of being should in seperate columns they are being shown in one single column seperated by a comma like this col1,col2,col3 and same goes for their relevant values. I followed this toturial - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WboI7-8vonk in the video the guy does not have the same issue.

i have watched the video more than 10 times, and even did the flow again from scratch but still the same issue. in the Select action, in from section i used this expression - json(outputs('Data')) and in the map i used the sharepoint columnname and in the key i used this expression item()?['sharepointcolumnname']?['Value'] I would appericiate if someone could help me as its very important to fix it today.

In Select action, pls use only the SharePoint column name with item() formula, no need to use the value:

For an example, to select the Title field of type single line of text, use the below formula:

item()?['Title']

Dear Manish i tried the one without value since its a choice column i used ['Value'] but even if i remove it in the output file of excel i see the data is wrong format like this like {'value = xxxx} after using the value it shows correct the problem is that it shows both columns in the same row seperated with , while they should be in seperate columns. can you recommend what i should do to solve it?

Hi, I had the same issue and managed to resolve.

The issue is not in PowerApps but Excel. Go change your Excel regional settings to

 English UK or English US. Then the columns will be separated. It's because the delimiter output is not recognized in some regions.

@JayElle89 is right, depending on your Excel's local settings, the expected column separator might not be a comma but something else (probably a semicolon).

Adding sep=, as the first line in your CSV file could help Excel find the correct column separator.

Setting the correct Delimiter when importing the CSV file into Excel via Data / From Text/CSV should always work.
