When row added to DV Table1 add multiple rows to DV Table 2 dependent on cell values in row added to DV Table 1

THE PROBLEM:

Hello, I am a partner in an Australian long haul trucking operation. We specialise in complex freight tasks whereby we receive  transport bookings (i.e. a Job) that require the freight tasks to be completed in several stages (i.e. a Leg). The multiple legs are performed by a combination of our own fleet vehicles & a network of trusted, reliable contractors to complete the job. I have worked with Excel & Access for many years (currently everything is booked through a busy Excel workbook) & am comfortable with the fundamentals of programming.  I can see the benefits that the Power Platform suite of applications can offer a business like ours including mobile apps.

THE THEORY:

I am currently entering bookings into a bookings table (i.e. tbl_Booking in Dataverse). Each booking includes a unique bookings number, customer, pick-up & delivery addresses, etc. I currently determine the number of legs required for each job at this point & enter it in a field in each row of the bookings table.

I am now trying to determine the best way to have the addition of a row in the bookings table create the number of legs required in the legs table (i.e. tbl_Leg). The rows added to the legs table would need to contain the unique bookings number they relate to plus I intend to append a single digit leg sequence number (i.e. 1-10) to the unique job number thereby creating a composite primary key for each leg.

My difficulty is in capturing the necessary fields of the newly added bookings row (i.e. the last row of tbl_Booking) that would trigger the addition of multiple rows in tbl_Leg. There are several fields from the booking I need to capture to auto-populate the various legs (e.g. the pick-up address of the booking becomes the leg_StartAddress of the 1st leg whilst the delivery address of the booking becomes the leg_FinishAddress of the final leg). 

THE SUGGESTION:

My thoughts are a Power Automate flow (add table row on row addition) with a number of variable declarations (including int_LegCount to store the number of legs required) between the trigger & the add row step. But I'm uncertain as to the ability to pass the different variables back to the add row step as required. As I said, I've only just started working in the Power suite of applications so any guidance would be greatly appreciated...time being the most precious commodity. I've recently noticed I seem to have 24 hours less to live each day.

I'm looking for assistance from someone that likes a challenge, knows their stuff & appreciates that I wish to develop business systems that I understand the workings of, have done the hard yards to build & implement & can fix on the fly if need be in a hectic & tough business environment. I'm certainly happy to discuss renumeration for anyone that is interested in a part-time consultancy gig where they're accessible & are happy to assist me in the longer term.
