Hallo,
I've created 2 forms, when the first one is sent, a link should be generated which points to the second form.
Is it possible to generate such a link with power automate and what should the flow look like?
This is what I have at the moment:

I think "create share link" is not the right item because it doesn't work.
Is it also possible that the link expires after the first use and can only be used once, so to speak?
best regards,
Armin

Many thanks for your help. The idea of comparing the response id is great and works perfectly. Also the hint to switch to the classic view was very helpful. What else I found out, I have to click on "Standard" when creating a new operation, then I get the response id as a selection.
So again, thanks for the help, now it works as expected.

Armin
Hi @Armin2,
Just to double check. When you talking about only once, you are talking about one response per user? Or only one response in total?
In case of the first scenario you can use the allow one response per user setting in your first form.
After that you can use a setup like below in the flow. Just use a Send an Email (v2) to share the link of the second form.
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback. The workflow is now working so far. The problem is that the user who is supposed to fill out the form is external. This means that I have to activate the option "Anyone can respond". Then, unfortunately, this mechanism no longer works. Is there another way to make the link expire after the first use?
regards,
Armin
Hi @Armin2,
You want the form to be anonymous (anyone can respond) but at the same time you want to identify if somebody (who needs to be anonymous) has already responded? As far as I am aware that is not possible within Microsoft Forms.
In that case you probably want to look into using something else for this use case. Maybe a custom Power Apps app?
Or do you mean the number of responses can only be a total of 1?
Thank you very much for your help. I also think that Forms is not the right solution for this case. A link is to be sent to a customer, which leads to a form. As soon as the link has been used once, it should expire and not work again. In fact, this cannot be implemented with Forms.
Hi @Armin2,
I had another look at this and found the end time setting of a Form. With a HTTP PATCH request you could set that to the current time, making the form expire/not open for anybody to respond anymore.
Below is an example
1. This is the setting.
Btw, I also see the Accept responses setting. Haven't tried that one, but I am sure that is also possible
2. The updated flow. I have added a condition to check the id of the response. The first response should have id one.
3. A Send an HTTP request to SharePoint action is added to update the end time setting of the form
URI
formapi/api/@{parameters('TenantId (exp_TenantId)')}/users/@{outputs('Get_user_profile_(V2)')?['body/id']}/forms('@{trigger()['Inputs']['parameters']['form_id']}')
Body
{
"settings": "{\"RequiresUniqueResponse\":false,\"IsAnonymous\":true,\"NotRecordIdentity\":false,\"IsQuizMode\":false,\"PermissionForResponder\":1,\"TimerEnabledEnd\":true,\"TimerEnabled\":true,\"EndTime\":\"@{utcNow()}\"}"
}
4. After that PATCH request the form should show up like below
Many thanks for this tip. That looks interesting and I have tried to recreate it. Unfortunately it gets stuck at the response id (resourceData/responseId). The Foreach loops are created automatically, is it correct that they are created?
Workflow:
Failed Test:
I used this parameter for the ID:
Maybe it's not the right one, but I can't find another one.
Hi @Armin2,
The response details action should be directly after the trigger action and using the Response Id field instead of the List of response notifications Response id field.
Can you switch to the classic designer and see if you can directly place the action after the trigger action instead (and see the Response Id field in the dynamic content list)?
Many thanks for your help. The idea of comparing the response id is great and works perfectly. Also the hint to switch to the classic view was very helpful. What else I found out, I have to click on "Standard" when creating a new operation, then I get the response id as a selection.
So again, thanks for the help, now it works as expected.

Armin
