Happy Holidays everyone,
I have a task to create a flow to send 3 email notification
When an item is created in a Custom SharePoint list used for Employee feedback.
1. First Email Notification. When a new item is created the flow has to send an email notification to a few users (managers).
This email will have the link to SharePoint Item. Now the users(managers) can click on the link to view the item.
(No problem with this I was able to do this )
2. There is a column/ filed where the manager can input his comments. or refer to his team member to reply an email
If the manager decides to response and adds his comments in the item. Email needs to be sent to the user who created the item.
3. In case if the Manager is busy or decides to delegate this task to someone. (Manager will still edit the item and fill in the assign to the column and select user from the people picker)
so there should be an email sent to the user who was selected by the manager to respond for the feedback.
Basically, an email needs to be triggered when two fields have been modified by.
Am not able to figure out how to set this condition or rule for step 2 and 3
If the manager decides to respond. And edits the filed “response” employee who created the item should get an email notification.
And if the manager decides to have someone else respond to the user from the people picker column, then the user who was selected should get an email notification.
Can some please help me out with this.
Thank you.

Hi @jean9681blr,
I have made a test on my side to create sharepoint list as below:
The response column is a single line of text type column.
The people picker column is a person type column.
You could refer to screenshot below to create the flow:
Please make sure:
1. When an item is created for response, the response column and the people picker column should be empty.
2. When the manager decides to have someone else respond, he must leave the response column empty, and choose a person in the People picker column.
Best regards,
Alice

Thank you so much for taking the time to test and it at your side.
I followed your screenshots and created the flow.
When Condition 1 is True, the email sent to the user
However when condition 1 is false and (Condition 2 or 3 is true), the flow runs successfully but it does not send out the email the action is skipped.
Message :
ActionConditionFailed. The execution of template action 'Condition_2' is skipped: the 'runAfter' condition for action 'Send_an_email_to_Managers' is not satisfied. Expected status values 'Succeeded' and actual value 'Skipped'.
The only difference is that my Response column is multiple line of text.
Any Suggestions?
Hi @jean9681blr,
I see you have added the Condition 2 inside the If yes branch of the Condition, and it is wrong.
Please refer to my screenshot to add the Condition 2 under the Condition, and then add the Condition 3 under the Condition 2.
Please let me know if your problem could be solved.
Best regards,
Alice
Much appreciated,
Thank you so much for your time and sharing knowledge. It worked as expected. 🙂
