get items - column names in filter query don't exist in SP List

Hi all,

I've got a flow when a user creates an incident in a power apps form, it locates who the duty managers are for the location specified in the incident, with the intention of sending them an alert to investigate etc.

I have a sharepoint list which just holds the list of locations and against each location there is a multi-select person/group field for holding the varying number of duty managers who cover that location.

I want to retrieve all the duty managers for a location and then load them into an array.  However as a citizen developer I can seem to get the filter query to work.

It is pointing to the correct site and list

But when I click on the select an item dropdown, it is displaying fields which are not related to the List named in the List Name field above.  

What on earth is going on?  It displays a short list of columns and the duty manager column is stored as 'dutymanager' internally in the SP list so it doesn't match anything displayed in this list.  Also searching for 'dutymanager' doesn't bring anything back.  In fact I would be using the 'title' column to do the searching but doesn't the fact that 'dutymanager' is not available ring any alarm bells?  What can I do to ensure that I'm retrieving from the correct SP List.

DutyManager is a multiselect people/group field so it won't show in the dropdown you are accessing. You can't filter on complex object fields. You said you wanted to filter based on Location, which would be Title based on your screenshot and that is in the list.

Hi there, Thanks for getting back to me and thanks for the explanation about the complex object columns, makes sense.  It doesn't explain what the other other columns were but as it's was an experimental feature, displaying the wrong names but right number of columns is OK.

This maybe moving away from the original question, but I tried using Title in the filter and testing I saw that the filter had the following captured:

Title eq '{"@odata.type":"#Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.SharePoint.SPListExpandedReference","Id":4,"Value":"Bury Interchange"}'

Which should retrieve a record as in the first screenshot, it's the last row, with three duty managers assigned, however when I downloaded the outputs, it hadn't brought anything back.

Are there any pointers as to where to look first, I've checked and there aren't any erroneous spaces before or after.

Try turning off the experimental feature and just enter

Title eq 'Bury Interchange'

If that gives you the record you want then you can replace the hard coded value in the single quotes with the dynamic content you want to filter on.  The code you are using now seems to be trying to filter based on a Choice list, which Title isn't.

Thanks, I should have thought to do that but I feel like I've been chasing my own tail for the past hour, I can't think straight.  Yes, that brought back some data, and thanks for the tip about seeming to filter on the choice list column, I'll dig around and see what else is there.
