"Solved" - Condition - Wrong result

Hi,

I have a huge flow and at one point I want to check if the requester is certain person/s or not.

I want it to return "False" but I always get "True":

The condition looks like this:

The variables is a String and contains only one value, a e-mail/UPN (first.last@company.com).

I have tired the following 1st Value:

• Forms
  • Responders e-mail
• Sharepoint
  • UPN
  • Name email
• Get user profile (v2)
  • Mail
  • UPN

Against the following controls(?):

• It not equal to
• dose not start with
• dose not contain

And against the 2nd Value:

• The Variable
• Typing the email/UPN
• Typing the: first.last

I also tried to separate it into separate groups with "Or" between them but nothing works.

Anyone have any idé?

I recreated the hole flow so this isn't applicable anymore.

Pls share your condition which is giving you always true as output . it is not clear from your problem.

From my ineffective and over complicated flow I wanted a check if the requester was Person A or Person B.
If it was I needed the result to be false so those two could continue in the No-column and everyone else in the Yes-column.

I think that I couldn't get the result I wanted so i duplicated the flow and re-arrange it so I wouldn't need that control.

The old flow is an approval flow where you could have other approves instead of Managers (the AD attribute).

But my new/updated version dose use the Manager attribute.

For this issue you will need to look at the values of the variables in the condition.  It will return true if one of those statements is considered true.  For example in this case it is saying UPN (myemail@company.com) is not equal to ESM-ApproverEmail (hisemail@company.com).  If you can provide the variable values for the condition we can determine why the condition is returning True rather than False.

I think that the problem was that I tried to have more then one positive/true check and they should go into different result (false) . Witch you can't (if my thoughts are working correctly 🙂).

In this example the condition first checks the Department value to se if it matches or not. And also in the same condition I wanted two specific users always get the false value as result.

The problem was that those to belonged to one of the Departments.

Just a thought/questions:

Dose the Condition match from top to bottom and the result is the first one it matches?

In the example condition below the User A would match at number 2:

User A belongs to Department B

The Condition

1, Department equals Department A

2, Department equals Department B <-

3, Department equals Department C

4, User isn't User A

5, User isn't User B
