Hi Ferrantid,

According to your description, I created a flow to save email attachment with the name “Attachment Name+Today Date”.
By adding a Compose action, I can format the Received Date time to a valid format by using workflow Definition Language.
The documentation about Workflow Definition Language could be a reference for you:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/logic/definition-language

My flow configuration:

My steps for a reference:
1. Start with this template:
https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/galleries/public/templates/f7a46809e53c42108034e56acf83bb79/save-my...

2. Delete the Apply to each, then add a Compose action, then input the value shown as below:

4.PNG

3. Then add the action “SharePoint>Create file”, configure the “File name” field of the “Create file” action with the Compose outputs and the Dynamic content “Attachment name” from the trigger "On new email arrives".

4. Click Create flow button, then an error message would be shown. But just back to the flow edit screen and change the compose action input with the formula below:
@formatDateTime(triggerBody()?['DateTimeReceived'],'yyyyMMdd')

5. Then update the flow. I test the flow on my side and my run result is:

3.PNG

please try this on your side and let me know if it works.

I dont think there is a way to set a date dynamically.  Also, that is unlikely to work if you get more than 1 mail.  You could try using the "Attachment Id" property.  That is likely a unique name.  You could also try using a combination of the Name and Attachment Id.

Thanks,

Hi Satyam_Gupta,

Have you started the flow with the template I have suggested? I found that if I create a flow to save email attachment to SharePoint library without using this template, I will get the error message. So please try to start with this template and add a Compose action to this template.
https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/galleries/public/templates/f7a46809e53c42108034e56acf83bb79/save-my...

Could you also show me the codes you are using in the Compose action?

Best regards,
Mabel Mao

HI,

I Don't know if this the problem but i noticed one thing:

It's different if you start from a template (removing block you don't need) or if you start from a "zero creation".

try this e let me know if it works.

another thing: be carefull with your browser language... set in english.

hope i help you
