Adding a lot of pins from location data to Google Maps

I've lately started using PowerApps as a genious and easy way to create apps but I have run into some minor problems.

The documentation on this topic is limited but I am trying to add a "Persons Near Me" on the google maps from Lattitude & Longtitude cordinates in my data. My problem is I have to add a lot of waypoints to display the persons near me.

Is there any way to add multiple waypoints from Latt/Long data in the Google Maps code?

I recon I've seen the help article about displaying a static map but there is nothing about adding multiple pins.

Thank you in advance.

Jacob.

Example with many markers is:

https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/staticmap?center=58.219,8.54181&zoom=17&size=700x2400&key=[My_K...markers=color:red%7Clabel:A%7C58.219,8.54181&markers=color:green%7Clabel:B%7C"&LookUp(ByUser1,true,Latitude)&","&LookUp(ByUser1,true,Longitude)&"&markers=color:blue%7Clabel:C%7C"&LookUp(ByUser2,true,Latitude)&","&LookUp(ByUser2,true,Longitude)&"&markers=color:yellow%7Clabel:D%7C"&LookUp(ByUser3,true,Latitude)&","&LookUp(ByUser3,true,Longitude)&"&markers=color:purple%7Clabel:E%7C"&LookUp(ByUser4,true,Latitude)&","&LookUp(ByUser4,true,Longitude)

Check the link above and I think you can understand how to add markers.
You just add more strings like the red one.
And you can change the color and the label of the pin.

Every LookUp() returns Latitude or Longitude.
I had this example ready and I copied, pasted it. This is not the best way though.
It is better to have the user's location in a table and concat the table in order to have the desired string.

Let me know if you need more help.

Dear Mike.

Thank you for your reply.

I've tried using the code you've given me but I am trying to make Google Maps adding pins automaticly out of address' or Long/latt cordinates. I have a whole Sharepoint spreedsheet with all the information required and a list of over 1000 contacts.

My goal was to make a code that would automaticly fetch the number of the contacts and add their location to the Static Map from Google maps.

You know how I can accomplish this?

If I am not mistaking your example is required to add a pin manually in the code everytime a new contact is created.

Again, thank you in advance.

Regards, Jacob.

Hello JacobS,

I have provided the link in order to help you see the pattern.
As I said "It is better to have the user's location in a table (you have it) and concat the table (this is what you need to do) in order to have the desired string."

Unfortunately I don't have an example.
Let's create a simple one.

Button1.OnSelect
ClearCollect(Collection1,{Lat:"51.219",Long:"7.54181"},
{Lat:"51.22",Long:"7.54188"})

Image1.Image:

https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/staticmap?center=51.219,7.54181&zoom=17&size=2400x2400&key=[key...)

I tried this and it works for me. So we can have a table with many records and by the use of concat display the multiple pins.
Let me know if you works for you

Dear Mike.

Thank you for the help but I am still not quite understanding.

I understand how to add a pin but when I add the text box and the google image map the static map wont show and comes with an error. I added this line that you provided to my Google Maps static map code

markers=color:red%7Clabel:A%7C58.219,8.54181&markers=color:green%7Clabel:B%7C"&LookUp(ByUser1,true,Latitude)&","&LookUp(ByUser1,true,Longitude)&"&markers=color:blue%7Clabel:C%7C"&LookUp(ByUser2,true,Latitude)&","&LookUp(ByUser2,true,Longitude)&"&markers=color:yellow%7ClabelSmiley Very Happy%7C"&LookUp(ByUser3,true,Latitude)&","&LookUp(ByUser3,true,Longitude)&"&markers=colorSmiley Tongueurple%7Clabel:E%7C"&LookUp(ByUser4,true,Latitude)&","&LookUp(ByUser4,true,Longitude)

This should look up every customer and get their lang / long automaticly but it surely doesnt seem like.

There's is probably something I am doing wrong but I've been trying for the past week now without luck.

Appreciate the help!

Regards, Jacob.

Dear JacobS,

Let's make it work.

Step1:
Can you please add a button:
Button1.OnSelect= ClearCollect(Collection1,{Lat:"51.219",Long:"7.54181"},{Lat:"51.22",Long:"7.54188"})

Step2:
You need to have an Image:
Image1.Image= The link that you use, but we are gonna change the coordinates of the center. So please have this: center=51.219,7.54181

Step3:
Please erase everything that follows your key and add &Concat(Collection1,"&markers=color:red%7Clabel:A%7C"&Lat&","&Long)

So in the end you will have something like this:
....../maps/api/staticmap?center=51.219,7.54181&zoom=17&size=2400x2400&key=[key]&Concat(Collection1,"&markers=color:red%7Clabel:A%7C"&Lat&","&Long)

This should work.
Let me know if you have any questions.

The next step is to have your table inside the concat function instead of Collection1.
