Breaking Gallery Inheritance

Hello you beautiful people! I am working on my first time through powerapp and trying to understand why a gallery fed from an excel sheet has parent permissions that dictate the same action being taken on any other row of data in the gallery.

For example: 

Let's say I drill into that second data piece there the GXS160/1750. It links correctly to my data sheet, but when I go to add a button in the detail screen, or launch a URL, or whatever, it then places it on every other item in the data (with the exact same info). I need each data row to have its own button with an individual URL. It seems like there is a parent inheritance for all items that I don't know how to break. 

Any advice would be awesome.

Hi, 

You need to make some changes to the Gallery to achieve this 
If you want all items to have a button, you will need to add a button control to the gallery 
In your Design Studio If you Select the Gallery from the sidebar A pen icon shows on the first item you can use this on Add and Remove from the Gallery 

To show the Selected Item from Displaying over other u need to check the OnSelect Propert of the arrow icon 
TO display URL, you can add a Label and change the text control to ThisItem. "URLColumn in your Excel Data

Hi @geek thank you so much for the response! What you are saying makes sense. I did try your method and it still does not appear to work. Right after the arrow, the data goes to a screen that looks like this (so I don't want it to launch the URL yet): 

When adding the blue button it just appears on everything in the gallery as well. I tried to use the same This Item principle on it but does not seem to be working.

The tiny URL you see there is pulling from the data sheet correctly but when I do a launch command and put the URL in it just puts the same URL on all the other data rows in the gallery.
