Button OnSelect If Statement, based on Sharepoint list value

I'm trying to make a button read a column from a SP list, and depending on what it finds (Joiner, Mover, or Leaver), it will navigate to a new screen, and show the relevant form.

I've tried a few statements, but I can't even get it working for 1 option a Joiner for example. 2 examples below;

The statements I've tried so far, all in the OnSelect of the button.

If('JML Forms'.'Request Type'="Joiner", Navigate(ITSD_ActionPanel) || ActionPanel_Joiner.Visible=true)

But it doesn't like the "=", Incompatible types for comparison. These types can't be compared; Table, Text.

If(ThisItem.'RequestType'="Joiner", Navigate(ITSD_ActionPanel) || ActionPanel_Joiner.Visible=true)

This doesn't work because "ThisItem", Name isn't valid. "ThisItem" isn't recognised. 

So how can I word it, so that when you press the button, if the column called "Request Type" has "Joiner" in it, it opens AP_Joiner, if it has "Mover" in it, it goes to AP_Mover, and "Leaver" goes to AP_Leaver? Any helps appreciated!! 🙂

You don't need the ||. you can just write it as:

If(
"Joiner" in 'JML Forms'.'Request Type', Navigate(Joiner),
"Leaver" in 'JML Forms'.'Request Type', Navigate(Leaver),
"Mover" in 'JML Forms'.'Request Type', Navigate(Mover)
)

it would still be the same format if you keep adding other options. the following would be an example if you needed to add a 4th option:

If(
"Joiner" in 'JML Forms'.'Request Type', Navigate(Joiner),
"Leaver" in 'JML Forms'.'Request Type', Navigate(Leaver),
"Mover" in 'JML Forms'.'Request Type', Navigate(Mover),
"4thValue" in 'JML Forms'.'Request Type', Navigate(4thValue)
)

I thought that might be the case, but despite doing that, when I then look at my SP list, and double click the item, and click on the button that has the IF statement set for the OnSelect, and all I'm getting is "Getting your data..." but then nothing happens. 

As per another reply, I tried interchanging ";"'s with ","'s and that still hasn't changed the "Getting your data..." outcome. 

I'm now not sure what I've missed to make this work 😕

Tried this formatting as well, but regardless of the selected item in the list, the powerapps screen is only loading up the first screen in that IF. 

So if I select a "Leaver", who has Leaver in the Request Type, it is still only loading the Joiner screen. Genuinely don't know what I'm doing wrong now 😞

that is because you are checking your entire list just to see if the values exist anywhere in the list, so the first one that shows up will be the screen that gets navigated to. you need to specify which record in the column you want to check for it's request type, otherwise it will keep navigating to the first value that shows up. how are you selecting a specific record? if you are using a gallery then you would compare ThisItem.Selected.'Request Type' to "Joiner", "Mover", etc. then navigate to whichever one equals ThisItem.Selected.'Request Type'.
