Button to Copy an Item

Hello,

I am trying to make a "copy item" button. I made this work before, however with this scenario I'm working now, I have a column that auto-generates a unique ID number, which causes a patching error when selecting the copy button. I want to copy all columns of an existing item and continue the unique ID number count. My scenario is outlined below:

In your situation, it appears that when you're trying to copy a list item using Patch, the operation is encountering a problem due to the unique ID column. When you copy an item, you're inadvertently trying to copy this unique ID as well, which is generating the error because each ID has to be unique.

One approach to solve this issue is to exclude the unique ID from the TaskForm.Updates when you are Patching.

To do this, we would need to create a new record that includes all of the fields from TaskForm.Updates except for the unique ID field. If your unique ID field is titled "UniqueID", the expression would look something like this:

    DropColumns(TaskForm.Updates, "UniqueID")); 

ResetForm(TaskForm); Navigate(NewTaskScreen)

Thank you for the help. When I apply your recommendation, I receive a patch error and dropcolumns error:

I don't know if this info helps, but I want to add the 'copy' button to my gallery that lists all the tasks assigned across my organization. Additionally, the unique ID (labeled "Title") links this list with another, which enables me to build related requirements associated with the given task. Here is a screenshot of the lists side-by-side:

Ideally, the 'copy' button would allow me to see the copied task, with the same requirements, and continue to count and apply the "Title" unique ID. Is this possible?
