Calculations inside a gallery that is placed inside a DataCard in power apps

Hello Everyone,

I have a requirement for a repeating section in between the datacards connected to a database on an edit form. I had the gallery with some calculations and the total sum of the gallery columns value is cannot be displayed outside the gallery and inside a datacard. I came to know that it is not possible to display those calculation results.

Breakfast	Lunch	Dinner	Total	Sum of total
10	12	13	35
11	13	15	39
10	10	10	30	(Total = 104)

For example consider the above table as gallery and would like to do the calculations and show the total at the end (Total = 104)

Is there any way I can have the total displayed as shown? or any other way that I can calculate and display them in a label somewhere inside the datacard but not in the gallery.

Or any other mechanism where the last column of the gallery can do this for us and hide all other columns except the total. Any inputs would be helpful.

I've tried inserting a label with code : Sum(Gallery.AllItems,Column). But didn't help me in displaying even the formulae calculates well that I can see the value while I write the code.

This needs to be outside the gallery, but should work with

Sum(
   GalleryName.AllItems,
   Value(TotalLabelName.Text)
)

Hi @WarrenBelz , Thanks for the response. I've tried this code inside the datacard, I can see the preview value that is displayed correctly but label value is blank.

I've tried outside the datacard but I don't see any preview value.

Any help please?

By datacard, I assume you mean the gallery ? It will not work inside as it is referring to itself.

What is the actual code you are using and where is the control you are using it in ?

I used the same code you mentioned 

sum(galleryname.AllItems, Value(TableLabelName.Text) ) 
The control is inside a datacard within the form. I’m aware that this calculations work outside the form but I would like to be in middle of the form.

You cannot do calculations on a Gallery.AllItems from inside it (a circular reference will result) - assuming TableLabelName is inside the gallery, then the control with formula you have posted needs to be outside the gallery.
