Cant find use Cosmos DB Connector

Hello, everybody,
I would like to set up a Cosmos DB database in Azure and connect it to Power Apps.

In Power Apps under Data Sources --> Add Data Source I can't find the Cosmos DB Connector, although there is some documentation available, e.g here.

Can you give me some hints?

Is it recommended to use Cosmos DB in connection with Power Apps, are there alternatives?

just to give a short update on this:

I was in contact with the support team (by the way, very engaged and helpful ) and unfortunatly the Cosmos DB connector is not supported within powerapps at the moment:

As per the latest update from our product group, we are really sorry to inform you that COSMO DB is not supported in Power Apps.

I tried my level best to get this resolved but as this is limitation of the product I was not able to do much from my end.

Once Again sorry for not being able to reach your requirement.

However, I was able to use Power Automate to solve my task. Here, the Cosmos DB connector works well and in an intuitive way.

Hello @Ishika1,

that was a long time ago. The solution we set up as a proof of concept for a customer back then is no longer running today, but not for technical reasons.

The PoC was a production data acquisition system for a manufacturing company. We stored all master data for the products as well as the order data and the event data for the various workstations in Cosmos DB. Power App then served as the front end for data output and data entry in the production line.

For each action we created a separate flow in Power Automate. For example, getting all (open) orders, creating a new event, getting product information by product id.

First set up the data connector in Power Automate:

Secondly, create a flow in Power Automate:

This is the simplest flow.

a) PowerApps Trigger with no additional Inputs,

b) Cosmos DB Action (Connected to the data connection created in the first step),

c) Http Response to get the data back to power Apps

For other flows we used more complex queries and some data filtering and manipulation within powerapps.

I tested it and the flow is still working, I just had to reenter some credentials. The powerapp is not running anymore so I cant check if that would still work.
