Canvas Editor (Preview) - Images Flashing & Can't Update Properties

Something very weird happening this morning in the editor, preview & app with images.  I was editing yesterday with the same exact images loaded in my app gallery with no issues.  However, today, all images are flashing really quickly, and I cannot change properties on the image as it will just flip it back to what it was before I can finish updating the respective property.  

What I've tried (with results)

• Deleting the images from the gallery and from the app all together, re-uploading and inserting them (image takes forever to load and commence flashing upon the Image property finally loading)
  • Images flash whether it's uploaded to the app or it's referencing the thumbnail in SharePoint
• Removing any properties that Patch, Update or Assign Variables (images still flash)
• Removing and re-adding all connectors
• Opening a separate canvas app I have in editor mode (images not flashing and having no problems updating properties)
• Publishing the app and opening on multiple devices (images flash in published app as well)
• Opening editor in both Chrome and Edge with cache cleared

Based on the things I've tried I have come to the conclusion that it's isolated to just this app, and it WAS not happening yesterday as of my last update.  Any ideas on what could be causing this seeing all I did was open editor and it was doing this without making any updates to the app whatsoever!?

I figured it out... I had a Combo Box with the Default Selected Items set to reference the SharePoint value, but at the same time I had the Items Property of the Combo Box set to load from the Office365 Search User Connector as it's a Person Column.  I hadn't actually loaded a person into the column until this morning and didn't put two and two together.  I needed the Combo Box to show the selected person from SharePoint if there was a person in the Column, but the Items was obviously interfering as the dropdown in the combo box wouldn't let me select anyone if there was already a person in the column on SharePoint (it would drop down and disappear as soon as you tried to select someone).  I ended up clearing out the Default Selected Items and just changed the No Selection Text to show the person's Display Name instead.  Once I did this... NO MORE FLASHING IMAGES and I was able to select another person in the Combo Box! 

In other words the Combo Box and the SharePoint Column were competing with one another, but SharePoint was going to win because that's what I told the Default Selected Item to be for the Combo Box.  It's amazing how a simple oversight (that made total sense) can cause these types of silly issues without the app giving you an error.
